Hi i have recently oc my q6600 to 3.2ghz at 1.5vcore and have been stress tesing after 6 hours on small FFTs it passed however on the blend test it failed at 2 hour 48 mins im running ram at 1:1

is this stable enough ?

also is it worth upping the fsb voltage a notch or the ram voltage ?

any ideas ?

thanks

can you post some specs, and current volts (vCore/vDimm, vMCH, etc) - also your multiplier?

sure

q6600 (not go)@3.2ghz [email protected] everything else at stock vdimm. multiplayer @9
Gigabyte p35-DQ6 mobo
2XOCZ 6400gold C5 ram @ 356mhz 1:1
1x 8800GTX@stock
520WAtt corstair PSU

hope this helps :)

stock vDimm may be the problem (I think its 1.8v, but not sure). vCore @ 1.5v should be fine but depends on the vdroop on the board.

ram speed won't be an issue (less than rated), and small ffts doesn't really stress the ram as much as blend would, which may be why you last so long before lock-up.

I'd start by pushing vDimm in small increments, but try not to go higher than 2.1v (manufacturers reccy). maybe try running blend, or better yet - download memtest, to stress the ram immediately rather than trying to do this through a cpu test. (don't forget to go back to small ffts :) )

good luck.
