World In Conflict Demo Today!!!

windowed mode seems to have worked...just played through the single player mission with no crashes.

nice one m8:D

Wey! Glad it worked, now just need to figure out why the hell in fullscreen it crashes. lol.

ah cheers forgot to try that one:o

No probs. :)

Is it posible to play over a LAN in the demo? I hear there is only a MP and a singleplayer skirmish.

I would expect the full game to have it all included though.

I tried to find this out, it looks like the skirmish only allows you to play vs. BOTS. Not across a LAN. And MP you cannot create your own servers as it's greyed out. So I'm guessing the full game will allow all these options but they've removed them for the demo.

There is a debug folder with a 'crashdump.dmp' and a 'boom.txt' inside it.

The .dmp file contains this,

Can you try stressing the memory for me. Perhaps do a bit of MemTest and also Prime or Orthos. Cheers. :)

Single player looks good. I like how the other commanders do their own thing and such. I also like how the tac-points accumulate very quickly in the single player, meaning that you can just keep spamming daisy-cutters for massive damage.

Online: It's much less buggy than the two betas (and those weren't exactly uber-buggy to begin with). Perfect.

Whats the deal with the in game benchmark? its rubbish!!!
I can play the game fine at 1680x1050 all options on and set to there highest with 16xAA and 16xAF... napalm, artillary, daisy cutters... zooming in and out no slow down at all

Highly optimized game

Runs smooth on my 7300gt - When 3 nukes are dropped im not so cocky :p

Command & Conquer with bells & whistles
Your saying this is like CNC? If you are im going to push you into this sarchasm. Yeeeahh it is like CNC with all the building and harvesting and taking control points and realism and tactical aid and 16 player matches which you can jump into any time.

Yep it is and has been since the alpha, but some people install it run the benchmark, which has changed with each version also, then come on line and flame it for being rubbish

For the record the benchmark in no way reflects in game performance, not even close, Its highly optimized as said and runs well when it doesn't hang

Thems the bells & whistles :p

No problems here.... run smooth with my Q6600 at 3.2ghz and my 8800ultra at 1400x1050. only think i desactivate is the vsync beside that everything is turn on and ultra high.

the benchs give me avg. 34fps

but in game had no problem with delay or anything... run very well...

the only thing is the the game ocasionally crash.. (random)

Can't wait for the game to come out, preordered and beta was great :)
What's the problem with DX10 performance on it though, running great on a stock 8800GTS, and can't actually tell the difference when i clocked it to 630/900, just running smoothly :)

I disagree. They rock against helicopters and are good at taking points near forest edges. Keep them covered and they are very handy. Any type of unit can be instantly knocked out.
