I'm getting *slightly* irritated by it now.. every time I think I'm just about to finish it, off I whizz to another area where there's more LS to rescue (meaning I waste all my limited ammo on the BD because I'm crap at killing them) and something slightly different to collect. It's all a bit 'samey'...
Have been very impressed with it though, and will finish it off now I've got this far (Apollo Sq).
 
I'm only just into Nepunes Vault, so not as far in as some of you guys. I've encountered my second big daddy, and man are they tough...! Decided to rescue the little sisters this time, and waste 'em next time.

The way the Splicers talk to themselves is very creepy. This game generates one HELL of an atmosphere.

Nothing to complain about so far :)

Don't play it so much, make it last...if you do anything too much you'll get bored of it eventually.

I haven't played it for a couple of days...looking forward to going back to it though.
 
Big Daddies are ridiculously easy to kill. There is a very simple method I discovered because they are very stupid.

They're not as stupid as me, as I die about 20 times before taking one out :D

Admitedly I haven't really thought about it much - I just go in there all guns blazing.. need to be more clever with my use of Plasmids & weapons. Have been using Swarm3 and then machine gun in the face.

PS, like how they go all chargrilled after a blast of fire!
 
I love it when you hear the splicers singing about Jesus loving them..... i cant remember what it goes like, but its top! then booooooooooom have a wrench to the back of the head!
 
Im loving the buffy connection as well, Juliet Landau (Drusilla) does the voice for the little sister and Armin Shimerman (Principal Snyder) does the voice for Andrew Ryan!
 
Tell that to me early on in the game. I had no Eve, no cash, no ammo at the fishermens bit. Ended up running from a hugely pee'd off Rosie, and was res-killed outside the Vita chamber about 20 times!

And which method is that exactly??, im not finding them that difficult to kill them...all i do is lay some proximity mines down...wait for him to waddle through...zap him a few few times with the electro bolt and stick him on fire...then hit him copiously with some armour piercing rounds and launch some grenades and rpgs at him...doing this while still trying to dodge his mines that he chucks at me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

Have to admit my fave bit of the game so far is the splicer chatter...they come up with some great lines:p and really adds to the atmosphere imho.
 
I've killed three daddies in this one level, but by the time I have the sisters have disappeared. How do I find them again?

Bingo.

Before I tackle a BD I make sure I have 6 Proximity Mines, they are quite easy to come by, lay all 6 in a doorway in a small clump, stand back, shoot BD in the ass with Electrobolt so he gets mad, he then runs into them and BOOM! The odd time I've had to finish them off with a grenade or heat seeker to the face. It works every time though.
 
HOORAY IT ARRIVED!

I know it's been said already, buy playing with a decent sound system makes loads of difference - really adds to the atmosphere of the game. If you have a hifi, plug it in to your TV!

There are loads of health kits/eve hypos around, searching bins and stuff and they're everywhere.

Only kill them (ie, do the final nail!) when they have the LS with them, otherwise you're wasting your time. If he's very nearly dead but has no LS then just follow him for a while (see below).

LS only appear with the BD so you'll have to go and search out another. If you find a BD with no LS then just follow him and he'll go to the holes in the wall where the LS 'live', then he'll knock and they'll come out and join him.

Problem with that is that hes still on red ie meaning hes on the attack so following him around when hes nearly dead isnt going to help you as he will keep attacking you till you die.

Best thing to do is when start nailing him when he goes to the hole as soon as the LS comes out...nail him hard. Also make sure you have your teleknesis plasmid at the ready as hes bound to throw a few proximity grenades your way...with the TK plasmid you can throw them back at him...but do it quick before they explode in your hand:p.

Just finished it and got the evil ending because all the sisters must die! Thing is...I don't understand the evil ending lol
 
Right, seem to be doing better with Daddies now i'm using the granade launcher.

I'm at the point where you need to get the parts for the tree cure thingy. I'm in the bee bit and found some, but struggling with the rest.
