World In Conflict Demo Today!!!

I disagree. They rock against helicopters and are good at taking points near forest edges. Keep them covered and they are very handy. Any type of unit can be instantly knocked out.

Have to admit that my experiences are based on only about 10 games in beta and a couple in the demo, teach me some stuff in the clan :)

agreed. i was blown away when i first used the laser guided bomb on the tutorial, from the effects. but when i unleashed a nuke i was like  awesome!! die you commies! :D :D although most of the casualties were my own.

I think this is the best looking RTS so far.. in graphic terms... the cloth of the soldier... everything.. this is far better looking than stalker or bioshock....

i wasn't too hot on the bioshock graphics either myself. don't get me wrong, they're good. i just don't like the style of how they are, reminds me too much of doom3.

ive not played stalker yet. i was meant to buy it yesterday. but a certain high street retailor had run out of stock so i got call of juarez for 8 quid.

Couple of Questions:

i) How can you change from DX10 to DX9 settings?

ii)Why when installing the game on Vista x64 do I have to run the game through Windows Media Centre?!?!? Its mental, and irritating

You don't have to. Look inside the WiC folder and you will find the normal .exe and the mc.exe.

It's in the games centre Start>Games>World in Conflict. I find it much easier than trying to remember who made the game and scrolling through a long list of program folders to find Start>programs>EA Games (nope not there), back to programs>Sierra>World in conflict>WIC :)

Alternatively you could drag the shortcut out to the desktop or wherever else you want it.

Hehe sorry guys xD

I have no help for you, just felt like expressing my opinion on Vista

:D

OMG.......

Just came from a game where both sides set off 3 Nukes....

At the same time........

Yes 6 nukes on the screen at the same time!!!!!

Yes,

Click Multiplayer, then Skirmish.

You can play on your own, to explore the battlefields, or add up to 16 bots total, allied or opposing.
