Comming out on friday in the UK! Will be poppin into town before work to pick up a copy (xbox360). Gonna be some fun in single player getting to learn the game but what am really looking forward to is the online play!

Anyone else gonna pick up a copy?
 
NFL games always interest me, but then I play the demos and it feels like you get hardly any control over anything. I know that sounds odd but I just never feel like I am actually doing anything other than picking a play and pressing a button to throw it.

I've been told that apparently with is the most complicated one yet, possibly most complicated game on the 360 but am not sure if that is 100% true.
 
Well I'm not that imprest with the 360 demo to be quite honest.
But I like the Madden 08 on the PC. So hopfully, just hopfully.. The 360' full game is worth the purchase :p

Madden '07 was one of my most anticipated games of the whole year last year, however purely down to financial reasons I won't be buying it this year :(.

I don't even have BioShock or Blue Dragon! :(
 
Definitely looking forward to this game, have it on order in the UK but i guess my bro will be picking up a copy here in Canada when its released. Looking forward to playing some NFL with him...he cant handle my hail marys lol.
 
I have only recently gotten my xbox and not really played much on live and non of my friends have an xbox so hopefully through ocuk I can get some people that I can regularly play with cause there is only so much you can progress through single player in games. Also maby a few weeks down the line we could set up a tournemant or somthing along those lines :D
 
^^^Would be fun i suppose, i remember Madden 06 i played somone from here on Live and it was pretty fun albeit quite fast paced ie the field goal bar was insanely fast...dont think i even nailed one:p. But still managed to beat the fellow by a few good interceptions.

NY Giants are my team...may not be the highest rated of all the teams but i seem to play pretty well with them. Although god knows with this version how im going to cope without my main RB Tiki Barber as hes now retired:(.
 
The Bears have always been my team. Supported them since I visited Chicago as a kid back in the days of the Fridge.

Finally, they're actually pretty decent in the game. :p
 
Thats another one of my dilemmas, I don't have much of a clue about the teams in the NFL but I would quite like to choose a team and just stick to it, like it was MY team but I would quite like to be an underdog but not so much so that am gonna get pounded every game. (Also gonna follow my team in the upcomming NFL)

Ahh yes it was you wasnt it that i had the game with:p...was good fun and yes that field goal bar was stupidly quick. Although Madden 07 was slightly better, the field goal bar was different ie you pushed down on the stick then quickly pushed up to get the power right. Same thing with the 08 demo, although after d/loading it last night and having a play of it...the screen seems a bit busy with all the numerous stuff you can do with the controller. Plus one thing i have noticed with the demo is that it seem much more smoother the gfx...not as much tearing or juddering with the other 2 versions.

Looks nice as i said but will wait till i have the full copy in front of me before giving my final verdict. At the mo trying to finish off Bioshock before my bro gets his copy of Madden 08.
 
Can you play 2 players on one console, either co-operatively or competitively? I'm looking for more games to play with my bro when I go to visit cos we're limited to Pro Evo atm...

Yup im sure you can, not sure about 2v2 though but definitely play against each other on the same console but not as much fun as you can see which plays either one of you are picking:p..so can adjust your defences accordingly unless you change the play once your on the field ie on fly change.
 
I played NHAA (I think it's called that) demo and it's impossible.

As soon as I get the ball I fall over, I can't pass it. I get tackled, I can't tackle. If I just put the controller down, they still can't score and my team do well. Stupid, and they have all these weird options that I don't understand. I like the sport, but the game isn't very easy to pick up and play, in fact it's impossible.
