Will this work with my BT broadband?

Does that come built into mothboards? mine says (Features high speed Gigabit Ethernet) is that a modem or do i need a separate thing?
Nope, the ADSL modem is a seperate thing.

What Zildjian suggested is a good idea. If you can find a unit with all the capabilities built in, it will make life a lot easier.

As for the cable/ADSL thing, surely it doesn't matter with a router? I thought the only thing that applied to was the modem itself. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Just to add my $0.02, I'm on BT Broadband and am using the Voyager 2500V: ADSL Modem, Wireless AP, Router, 4 Port Switch and VoIP capable. Works a treat ;)

Most early ADSL modems were USB rather than Ethernet so it made it harder to connect an ADSL modem to a separate router.

Easy enough to get them these days though.
