There have been annulments of imminent Iranian attacks approximately every 6 months for the last few years. The simple factor is that an attack on Iran destroys the US economy by disrupting global oil markets. It's suicide from the US point of view.

If you want a decent tin foil hat story look up the "Bin Laden Trade".

Last week, someone bought 700 MILLION dollars worth of puts on the Sp500, 30% out of the money, expiring in 3 weeks. This happened before 9/11, but at a much smaller scale.

Since these were exchange traded puts (options on futures), the DOJ and SEC are well aware of the transaction - if this trade ends up being a winner - people will want to know who knew what - so to me, if this is all true, the buyer could only be a foreign government (China comes to mind...?).

Basically someone is betting on a 30% fall within the next three weeks.

America suspects that Tehran is using its nuclear fuel programme to develop atomic weapons.

The facts as presented are right - large value of options bought that only pay if there's a 30% crash by Sept 21st - what that actually means is where the tin foil hat comes in.

Iran is one of the most dangerous countries in the world. If the USA takes action, then so be it. I did not support them on the issue of Iraq, but fanatics like Khomenei and Ahmadinejad must be removed immediately.

1 last thing, when 911 happened, there were a lot of 'nutters' who got to say " i told ya so" , as a lot of people even prior to september 11th knew what was going to happen, told as many people as they could, but were deemed 'nutters' and mostly ignored.

wrong, i can give you a radio show aired 8 months before 9/11 in which a well known presenter { alex jones } warns the american people that this was going to happen, in detail. the planes, the buildings etc. i have the file here for you.

yeah it happned prior to 911, put options was put on american airlines etc. many people cashed in.
