And is the CBT just one test? No other lessons or anything? And is it one fee of £100?

Yeah, mine was £80 but £100 is ok, its training not a test, you cant fail but you can be made to have more training, mine was about an hour on a car park, answer a few questions about highway code then we all went out on road for about 2 hours, thats it done.
Ah great :) Thanks for the help guys :)

Hey again guys,

Sorry to bring up this semi-old thread but I thought it'd be better than making a whole new one :)

Ive done some more researching, I've also put in my previsional today, so it should arrive within 2 weeks time.

I quite like the look of the Gilera Runner.

Is there anywhere on the net that im able to buy a scooter like the above? (I assume your allowed to link since it's not a competitor) I'd preferably like to get it second-hand. Also, do you know how much im looking to spend on a scooter like that, second hand?

Where are you located?

Try local ad's and eBay.

I own a VX125 very nice scoot :)

Take a look in your local m/cycle shops they usualy have a selection of mopeds & scooters tucked away in a corner somewhere.

Where in the uk are you?

Buy a bike with proper sized wheels and gears, tiny little wheels are inherently unsafe.. scooters should be banned

Make that 'SMALL wheel scooters should be banned'. I have a Piaggio B125 (has big wheels) and it rides like a motorbike except its automatic which as a commuter does me good, you can pick up a second hand one for about 5-600 off of the bay.

I must admit, I like the idea of the Gilera Runner because one of the pros is it looks more like a motorbike than a scooter - I found a local scooter shop, but it was closed today. May take a look tommorow :)

I reccomend Lexham Insurance, I got cheapest first premiums from that place 2 years in a row.
Though they are slow with there premiums, try ringing them instead of getting a internet quote.

by the time you get a bike and insure it, you might as well have saved more and got a car dude.
Well it'll take 2 - 3 weeks for my previsional to come along, one day CBT training, and when you ring for insurance, it's instantly added. Shouldn't be too long.
