I'm going to be placing a pre-order for the latest Pro Evo soon but am not sure whether to get it for the 360 or the PS3.

I'm sort of leaning towards the 360 for Live! (and the friends I've built up on there) but could easily be swayed into getting it for the PS3.

Anyone have any idea which is likely to be better and which version will most people be getting on here?

PS3 pad game over for the XBOX im afraid

I prefer the 360 pad for pro evo now, after using it for the last year, i went back to the ps3 pad to try out pro evo 6, and the magic was gone.

Ill probably end up with both, if the PS3 is graphically superior, but my friends all play it on 360.

It won best PS3 game at Leipzig Games Convention, now i'm not sure what (if any) differences it has from the 360 version, but when you look at the PS3 lineup, I think it did pretty damn well.

Might be worth checking to see if it offers anything on one format than the other.

I remember reading that it was going to take up over 20GB on a BD. Heaven knows how they could use up so much just for a footie game. Maybe loads of uncompressed audio or something.

I'll have a quick blast on my PS2 to see if the pad's still as good as I remember it for Pro Evo.

XBox 360 pad > PS3 i'm afraid.

it seemd a far more faster pace game on the ps2 pes 6 rarther than the 360 so im gunning for the ps3 ....

"the actual player movement and feel of the ball on the Xbox 360 is now identical to the other versions - that is, the "walking on the moon" feel of last year's game has been well and truly nuked. Generally, the game feels exactly the same across all versions."

They will be the same.
As for the OP. Why bother pre ordering now, just wait until it is common knowledge as to whether there are any differences. Although I am 99% sure the only difference will be the control pad and online play. Which is why I am getting the 360 version, pad is awesome, Live is awesome (except when a new demo comes out :))

Whichever is lag free..going from PES6 that probably means I'll get the PS3 version.

 But there hasn't been a version of PES on the PS3, so how would you know that it is likely to be lag free?

I am probably coming accross as a fan boy a bit but I have never suffered any serious lag on the 360, far less than I did on the PC version as well.

I'll be buying the PS3 version based solely on the pad. It's nothing to do with an overall preference for one pad over the other, but it is hard to go against almost 10 years of using the Playstation controller for Pro Evo.

If you play PES with the Dpad then the PS3 might sway it, otherwise I would go with the 360 unless there's some other major feature/gameplay difference. The button layouts are virtually identical after all no?

Lol...

Dpad all the way analogue for the lose!

When using a PS2/3 controller I would say the same. For the 360 controller analogue is best though.

I never thought about it but it's weird how much I hate the PS2/3 analogue control, I think it is mainly down to the positioning. It is natural to use the analogue on the 360 and the dpad on the PS2/3

ya like 10-15 years of dpads i dont think im ever going to be "analogue capable"

still the dpad is good, and the buttons had 256increments of movement so i dont think im at a disadvantage, but the DPADS have not been designed to reduce blisters i notice.
