Ok i ordered one of these OCUK X1950pro 256mb last week wjhen it arrived it was the one that sounded like a turbine, i sent it back anyway due to it having 2 screws missing of the hetsink and ive just received my replacement today.

Ive now got the one with the flower cooler on it which is very quiet.

It hasnt got a temp sensor on it which im not too worried about.

Ive just installed the 7.8 catalyst and to find i havent got an over clocking option in CCC.

Just ran 3dmark 06 and got a score of 5097 is that good or bad?

Now to test Bioshock.

My other question the gfx card came with the power adaptor / splitter which i didnt use as the psu comes with its own, so is it getting enough amps?

if its the jetway board its a cheapo one and others have said too that it has no overclock ability or temperature sensor too. very odd.

Well this is the one i got
S3600170.jpg

Ill give ati tool a try.

Just installed ATI tool but the overcloking options are grayed out (ie set clock, find max core and memory).

Rivatune works though :)

Woh Rivatuner reports my memory running at 695 (1390) but its only listed at 1200.

whoa that card looks small, very nice, and that cooler looks familiar but i just can't put my finger on it.

whats the temps like on it?

ahh, i remember now it looks like the zalman vf700. very sly that. no temp sensor i would be worried about overclocking with.
thats the length of these x1950pro cards? that one in the picture seems to be a lot shorter than my x1900xt which is a very good bonus. small cards i like.

I think the cards based on the 1950gt which had lower clock speeds.

Yep as above no temp sensors.

The card is virtually silent and ive been playing around with it abit.

Default speeds
Core 573
Memory 695 (1390)

OC speeds
Core 648
Memory 756 (1512)

Old 3dmark06 score: 5097

New 3dmark06 score: 5397

Question: do i have to keep Rivatuner runnng all the time to keep the overclock, and as emntioned with no temp monitor will it be ok to run at these speeds.

I have 120mm side fan on my antec 900 aswell blowing over the card, so it shouldn't be too hot.

Just played Bioshock for 2+hrs with them settings with no probs.

I average around 35-40 fps with it peaking at 50 fps with everything on max + dynamic lighting.

Smooth, just have to wait for Crysis now.
