Well i got Bioshock through steam last week and Ive just completed it.

I don't know if I'm happy or sad

I spent about 6hrs today finishing it off, i got to say its the best sp game ive ever played, some real imagination went into this game.

I played it on easy  and harvesetd evry little girl possible, have to try it again now with saving her:)

10/10 from me.

Anyone else completed it?

for me the game had half the life of half life 2, which means it is too short to be better than it im sorry to say, i completed it in 12 hours, exploring everything :P

best game of the year so far though for me, will only be beaten by cod4 for me. maybe crysis if the gameplay is as fun as bioshock, which i cant see.

Think this took me 11 hours to complete, IMMENSE game. Absolutely fantastic. I got a bit of a moody ending because i harvested all the little sisters, is it true theres 3 different endings?

FPS games are just 'different' really. I just finished it earlier today, aprx 17 hrs it took on medium and I checked out every nook and cranny, didn't rush it at all, went back and checked other levels a couple of times etc. Which is pretty good for a fps. I've spent 50-100 hrs on rpgs but as said, its just a different kind of thing.

Bottom line is, did I get my money's worth out of Bioshock?.....yep, sure did :) And now I'm gonna go back and play it on hard mode and go for the other ending too. Very few fps games inspire me to replay them so quickly after completion. So that's another plus point.

Just completed it but found a flaw in gamplay really unless i got setting wrong, if you lose all your health and get teleported back to tube you get some health back same with eve, trouble with that is you don't lose anything infact you gain heath and eve it is only when you inject yourself that your counter goes down.
but did enjoy it on medium but most of it was easy compaired to some other pc games.
big daddys are hard at beginning until you get grenade launcher.
what are the 3 ending anybody know 1 for killing the little girls and one for saving them but what other one?.
Coh is still the best game i played this year

pfff just 15-20 hours of fun for 50 €?
One of the worst value games ever imo, games that are sp only and have no ''free run/random game'' mode should be priced at least half of what normall games are priced.

Most games these days are pretty short. I found a lot of Xbox 360 games to be short. Crackdown was pretty short, Harry potter is supposed to be short too.

What else gives you 15-20 hours for £30 ?? . It might not be the longest game ever but it still delivers value for money.

Now if I could spend 15-20 hours in a pub and only spend £30............

finished it last weekend on hard... saved all the girls

the "good" ending is all about the love !! can you feel it

guessing the 3rd ending will be the one where you dont save/farm the girls you just wave and carry on

If you buy films on DVD then £30 wont even buy you even half that amount of hours... So judging by your theory all new release films should cost a £1 or two!

Thats a ridiculous statement to make, so if a single player only games that takes a team of 20 devs 3 years to make and lasts 15 hours should be cheaper than a similar game that has either an online mode or some sort of sandbox? I couldnt care if it has online or id rather quality over quantity especially for games, to get another 10 hours out of it may have taken another 8-10 months dev time. Fifty euros is nothing unless i suppose you dont work or are at school, most people spend that on a few rounds of drinks.

the problem is not really the games fault - think about it - quicksave is ruining the experience. far cry had a much better system as did project igi years back. if there was no quicksave we'd all still be playing it.
