my god do hair dresser suck. so i go get my hair cut yesterday as it was getting rather long, i ask just to cut off a little bit for holiday so its not over my eyes, just above my ears etc and away she goes. she brushes the hair forward to cut it so i close my eyes, 20 seconds later i open them and almost all my hair is gone! i coudln't beleive it, she cut so so so much off. i said jsut above the eyebrows/eye brow length, i got almost about half the forhead higher, and the ears, man she cut so short she might aswell have used one of the razor things they use.

I absolutely hate getting my hair cut as no woman understands that i like my hair longer then a grade one. One hair dresser even suggested i should about 5 times as she couldn't be bothered to cut it, telling me i get more girls if its shaved off while my gorgeous ;) gf sitting right next to me.

I wish i had a friend to do it for me. I have never had a hair cut where afterwards i thought wow what a good job. Its going to take like 3 months until its close to the length i like, then i'd say another 1/2 months until what i want.

It makes no sense as my hair was long, what would make her think i want it short.

i know its only hair but time after time after time of getting a bad hair cut its really starting to bug the hel out of me.

so anyway, am i alone with this? surely there must be more guys out there with the same problem? anyone care to share theres?

Go to a better hairdresser?

I only ever get bad cuts if I go to cheapo places, my local does a great job for £12 :)

Hairdressers? What you need is a Barbers, I only pay £4.95 every 3 months or so to have it washed, conditioned and the dead/split ends trimmed off.

Bargain! :D

I'd say a tenner or more for a guy is not cheapo, my old one was £30, lol

But it was awesome, hair wash and 5 minute head massage, free beer/tea/coffee, loads of magazines, wicked decor.

Just got a bit too expensive for a monthly visit :(

im triyng to find one, been changing everytime i get it cut hoping i can find a better one but nope never. It cost me £12.50, is that cheapo or expensivE?

Had my hair cut in Bath this morning - was absolutely fine :D And as I always go to the same person (she now owns the salon) they know exactly what I mean when I say "Meh, just cut it kinda normal" (And knows what I'd define long / short as)

Was £17 (should be £20 but she does £3 discount to students) - but tbh I just usually give them a £20.

My local guy does it for about 7.50, been going there for years and he always gets my 'usual' just right.

I find whenever I go elsewhere they screw it up. Its not about price but about finding a guy or girl that has the same idea of 'short' or 'trim' or whatever as you.

I agree, anything more than a tenner annoys me.

I hate it when they talk to you as well, Im not paying for a chat!

I know some people like the friendly barbers but i just hate sitting there, just feel its time wasted!

Well, I was never happy with mine and that's why I've ended up going somewhere that costs me £18 which I think is pretty expensive. It's always fairly good now.

Oh and I always have it cut by a Man. The place I go is a 'Hair Cuttery' they're a chain.

I cant complain about my hair cuts never had a bad one. Mind you my other halfs profession is a Barber. And she is watching over my shoulder as i write this :D

Mine one isnt so local but they do it good. Only £6.50. Get a 6 or 5 and squared at the back and its done.

Mine did a great job and at £6 inc student discount can't argue! I think she was trying to seduce me though, she's very pretty and she stood in front of me and leant over at 90 degrees :D
