.. say to the fit bird standing to your right "Excuse me? Is 'The Chamber of Secrets'* the second book in the series?" whilst waving said copy about?

Still she smiled and engaged in some conversation, pointed out that she had read them all anyway so I didn't feel quite so much of a dill :p

Aah the days of not being married and free and single are NINE days away

*Harry Potter books that as a 35yr old I am just starting reading;)

Ask her if she can reinact the Harry kissing Cho scene as your not quite sure how to picture it.

Not an easy thing to go through i'm sure. Still if she reads Harry Potter i would stay well clear.

Good luck with it mate.

Then your a muppet :p

Nowt wrong with Harry Potter, atleast if they talk about it and you have read them you got more conversation for you :p

I meant it lightly as i have not read any of the books, but seen the first film. I think i will read them one day, might be an insight into some things.
I would prefer to be a puppet than a muppet as well thank you very much! :) :D

I read the first book then watched the first film.. needless to say the film wasn't a patch on the book (are they ever?).. grab a copy of the book(s) and read, much mor eentertaining for the brain to create the scenes etc :)

Wait, wasn't she crying at the time? ;) :P I like your style! (Although Luna for the win!)

(It's been a while, I listened to the UK audiobooks read by Stephen Fry. I started when I was ill and off school for a fornight and got bored out of my skull, I got hooked.)

That was my reason, bought the first one when it came out but only got round to reading it a couple of months ago.. for a lighthearted read they are okay, not my usual cuppa but are cool.
