GeIL 2GB PC6400C4 800MHz with P5B; ok?

I didn't know whether to put this in the memory or motherboard forums, so posted it here

I'm looking to get some PC6400 RAM to go with my P5B and wandered whether the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 run ok. Are there still any issues with this memory and board (did a search and noticed some did have problems) or should they be ok?

havnt had any problems with my geil and p5b since i built it.

ram is overclocked by 50mhz and half a volt extra i think

There are a lot of problems with this memory and Asus boards. There is a huge thread on it in the memory forum. Most of it was due to people not bothering with checking that their board is compatiable with it before buying. Check the QVL list for that memory and board on Asus's website.

I've already had a look on the QVL list but it wasn't that long and Geil wasn't on it, that's why I thought I'd ask if anyone is still having issues with it.

I'm thinking I better steer clear of it TBH, just to be safe.

Mines an Asus board but not the one in question but still, my GeIL RAM runs fine.

i used to have geil and a p5b and it arrived and was borked! wouldn't run stock speeds on stock timings!

I decided to go with some OCZ instead, just to be on the safe side.
