24" Monitor for Xbox/PS3 use...

As per thread title really..

I'm after a secondary display so my gf can play xbox etc if I'm busy using the PC..

Needs to have a max res of 1920x1080.. and thats pretty much it.

Not entirely sure what specs i should be looking at for use with a console.

Not really worried about the price either.. I'd like to keep it below £400 if I can tho..

Anyone got any recommendations?

I use a dell s2409w only £190 including VAT. Got my pc and ps3 hooked up to it, it has dvi, vga and hdmi inputs. Pretty good monitor for the price.

the s2409 looks excellent for the 360, crisper than the Dell 2408WFP or SM249HM which ive also seen it on. not sure about ps3 like but id bet its the same in 1080p

When connecting an xbox to a monitor which connection will afford the best picture? Connecting via hdmi or vga ? as microsoft sells both these conectons with seperate audio connections.

HDMI is the best by far, I have both. BTW the Dell U2410 has blown me away. The picture quality is amazing, other than a bit of fuzzyness around some of the text it looks amazing. I see no smudging of colours, it's only 6ms but It's way better than some off the TN 2ms I've tried in the past..

HDMI and DVI are the identical quality,
VGA is of lower quality (generally)
