Inverkeithing to Plymouth in terms of distance.

Also Plymouth to Inverness or Plymouth to Prague or Adelaide to Sydney but they involved overnight stays so probably don't count.

Bath to Lands End (~220 miles) for a software install (~2-3 hrs work) then back again... On the day it started snowing REALLY heavily a couple of years ago...

so 4 hours to get there, 2-3 hours work, and about 6 hours to get back... needless to say I put in a claim for overtime!

I did about a 500ish mile trip a few years back. dedicated a day to picking up everything I needed for my homecinema speaker setup. made like a saucepan shape from wales across lower england :p It's wasn't all in one go (thank god) but broken up into several legs.

swansea>cardiff (went to richer sounds but they were lacking :( )
cardiff>bristol (went to another richer sounds, bought the amp, cables and center speaker)
bristol>dorchester (visiting clan mate to purchase two KEF speakers/monitors as my rears, bought for a bottle of whiskey and port :D )
dorchester>portsmouth (picking up some front speakers off a forums member for £20 xD )
portsmouth>swansea (the journey home of one very tired sasso)

to be fair I really enjoyed it as it was quite nicely broken up with time to have a little chill at the first few stops. some easy motorway to start off, then dual carrigeways, then single lane country roads, then working back up to motorway pretty much all the way home... good to just floor it and get back with ma goodies :D

carrying it up the stairs wasn't fun though :(

Regularly do Edinburgh to Cornwall which is about 550 miles. Just power through normally, only stop for petrol and generally feel fine.

Did a ridiculous variation on it once that involved going via Dorset and the Peak District. It was only an extra couple of hundred miles but hit traffic problems at almost every stage and it ended up taking 17 hours. I was an absolute wreck at the end of that one.

Did 650 miles from Medulin in Croatia to Prague in Czech Republic back in 2008 on the way back from the Student Brakeaway. Did it in the S3 and it didn't even break down!

Also did 530 miles from Guildford to Offenburg in July in the Elise and that didn't break down either!

Not done anything particularly epic. Norfolk to Anglesey with a trailer was probably one of the worst, just over 300 miles and seemed to take forever. Going up and down the country is easy, going across it is a PITA.

Done a few 200+ mile runs after having already spent most of the day driving on track. Total mileage for the day isn't particularly high but it's a long day behind the wheel and there was a time where I'd regularly do Wakefield to Norfolk on a Monday morning, arriving for work for 08:15.

Also did New Forest > Norfolk > Liverpool when a family member passed away whilst we were on holiday. Had to cut the holiday short, drive home, unload the camping stuff, pack for a funeral etc and head up to Liverpool the same night. Shared the driving with the wife for that one thankfully.

About 530 miles in a T reg MkII Ford Escort to go see Scunthorpe United play Swansea City at the Vetch Field. Done entirely on a whim after waking up one Saturday morning.

That's going to take some beating, I thought my 780 was a killer, I practically crawled out of the car after that :o

It was a leave the house at 2am get home at 11pm sort of thing as I recall. Including collecting someone from the coast before getting on the chunnel! Did it in my first M3

My longest trip in one day was 600 miles, a trip up North and back.
I've also done a 400 mile round car trip with a 7 hour, 100 mile cycle ride in the middle - that was a killer !!!

240 odd miles when I drove from Orlando to Miami.

I've done Key West (Southermost Point) to Orlando which is 398 miles.

I had to drive Grimsby - Leamington - Grimsby for work and then in the evening Grimsby - Kilmarnock. It was a long time ago so I don't remember the exact distance covered but it was a very long day!

Probably over a thousand miles from RAF Laarbruch W Germany to RAF Lossiemouth, NE Scotland via the channel tunnel as the ex wife did'nt like sea crossings. Every year or so i drive the 720 miles from here to Penzance in Cornwall which takes around 12 hours. Best time was 10.5 hours.

Woking to Munich - 721 miles and about 13 hours with 2 short (15 minute) stops, did the exact same drive home 2 days later.

In a 207 as well!

My first time driving on the continent was going from Munich to Uttoxeter, which was roughly 880 miles and took about 16 hours (stupid French farmers blockading Calais harbour).

Two days later I then did the return journey and it only took about 13 hours, mainly due to driving through the night on totally empty roads.
