M2 or regular 2.5 SSD to keep games on?

So I've fitted the device ok tonight. The mobo had a slot so installation wise everything went according to plan however when I have booted into to windows there is no sign of it. Any idea how I get Windows to recognise the device? It is the Samsung PM951 256GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe Solid State Drive.

I was also installing an I7 6700K (had the I5 6600K) and the Corsair H100i GT. I had to disconnect my optical disc drive an move it down a bit - when I look in explorer now it is showing my D: DVD RW Drive plus 3x BD-ROM Drives (F:, G: & H

- don't remember seeing them before. Any idea what's going on?

I had the same issue on my asus vii ranger - I ended up installing samsungs nvme software - supposed to only be for the 950pro nvme m2 drive - but works wonderfully

Thanks - just sorted it. Had to do the format and drive letter allocation thing in 'computer management' - didn't know I had to do that...

You always have to do that for a new drive.
