So are there any 1080 to avoid. I know there was the issue with evga which is fixed, but if I just want, not a blower and a backplate, then any will do?
The EVGA issue was never really a issue. It was blown out of proportion from the start. Any 1080 will do. EVGA probably have the best warranty out of anyone imho
Ok, thanks. I'll keep my eye for deals then if any will do and it's just things like warranty.
I know currently you can get a palit 1080 for £425, but only 2 years warranty which seems a little short for £400+, would prefer 3 if I'm spending that sort of money.
Nice card but wrong thread.![]()
I'm getting tempted by a Palit Jetstream 1080 for £450 - would this be a decent choice or should I wait for something with better warranty or base OC / binned chip - reviews seem to suggest cooling is good and by all accounts there's not much to chose between many of cards in terms of peak performance. Been holding off for a while and deliberating between 1070 or 1080. Nearly went for Zotac AMP Edition 1070 at £350 but was too late. Prices don't seem to be doing much and not sure I want to keep waiting. Garage conversion nearly done and would be nice to drop a new graphics card into my PC to enjoy in the new room!
one more to the 1080 clubselling my 480 and put a little to it and got this bad boy

There was some bug awhile back that made some cards idle around that speed, my asus strix used to do it, unfortunately i can't remember what fixed it sorry. As for the temp if it is idling at 1632mhz and has that no fan thingy then that would explain the temps.OK so my 1080 G1 sits at 47c idle with the GPU Clock at 1632 MHz also when idle , thats not right is it ?
