LG 34GK950G, 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120Hz

@PCM2 I read your article (quoted here). Are you confident that every monitor will hit 120hz if using a certified DP cable and a beefy GPU?

I can make no such guarantee, but I would expect so. With it being a G-SYNC module overclock and the panel itself very comfortably running at 120Hz, I would expect excellent stability and consistency with the overclock.

I'm quite new when it comes to these kinds of monitor technologies...

Is there any downside running such overclock? And in this case in particular? Can running it often reduce the lifespan of the display?

Wow, you go away on holiday and then spend a few days out and about at customers and the thread blows up

right, so from what I can see there are still a lot of questions surrounding this monitor - what I have done is read through about the last 6 pages of this thread and penned all the questions to HQ in one email, of which I hope to get answers soon (albeit I am popping back on annual leave Friday-Tuesday LOL)

in regards to specs on the USA site - I cannot comment, we don't put them up on the UK site till we know they are listed correctly!

also, cannot remember whom it was but they were constantly bashing LG in the USA - please can you not do this on a UK site where LG have 2 years warranty minimum? if you want to bash LG USA please go bash them, but it rubs off on LG UK where our warranty is clearly longer for some reason.

i'll be back

Have you actually got a unit for review yet? The article looks like only a commentary of published specs and product details.

That's what it is. A news article written by an informed and experienced individual. It was never masquerading as anything else, sorry if you misunderstood.

And as noted in the article, ignore the current LG US product page. It just has some lazy copy and paste errors from the FreeSync version.

i'll be back

I'm sure you will, Arnie. ;)

No issue, just checking :) I am grateful for your comment on the G-Sync module being overclocked to run at 120Hz, as this is clearly an unknown to most in this thread, and has been discussed a lot.

My other question was more significant... Do you have a review unit yet? I'm hoping that you and @Baddass will be high on the list for review units!

If I did it would have been mentioned in the article and on my Twitter account. :)
@Daniel - LG , any update on when review units will be out? There has been suggestion that units have been available for retail purchase in some continental EU countries, though we can't be sure this is true, but there must be retail units off the production line by now

Let's all give @Daniel - LG a break with this. I know you're all keen to see a review of this monitor, but he can only do so much himself to make this happen. The wheels are already in motion and things will go as quickly as they can, but hounding him on this thread won't speed anything up.

It was the Canadian guy, always banging on about that crap and seems to think this forum is based in Canada or something. It isn't.

I guess that is the curse of being an active manufacturer on this forum :) but its what I am here for
