Very disappointing result, Hopefully I'll be able to improve on it at a later date.

Have you tried DX11? For some reason DX12 runs atrociously for me in the benchmark as well as possibly even in the earliest parts of the game (not trusting my memory here), but DX12 seems to be an improvement over DX11 a bit later on.
