looks like RTX "on" just got a nice boost in BF5

That pinball table would probably you with more entertainment than starring at puddle while getting shot and failing your team at in BFV :D

IMO BFV is not the best game for showing off Raytracing...pretty sure there are games of other genre would be better at doing this.

lol it is true BF5 is a really odd choice to showcase RTX... however technically it looks amazing imo. i am really interested in the new metro game.... as well as seeing what rtx is like in VR!

Quite impressive to see Ultra settings at 3440 x 1440 and playable frame rates. Is the field of view of 55 default? I prefer 90 myself. I would personally drop some other settings to get a more constant 60+FPS, not that it would make any difference for me, I'm terrible at BF :/
Thanks for the vid Gregster.
Yer, 55 default FOV and with some fiddling, I am sure I could get a constant 60 fps but even in the low 50's, it is still nice and smooth.

Once you’ve had 165hz I could never go back to 60 on a fps K+M game like BFV regardless of settings or resolution.

115fps is about the lowest I’ll take before being able to notice a difference in smoothness.

Have a play around with RTX is about all I’ll be doing on BFV by the looks of things. Really need some more games to showcase the tech properly.

You can own what you like but it doesn't change the fact that you seem to dislike any RT performance upgrades and you have shown this time and again with your posting and still doing it now. I don't care who has what and want all and sundry to have a great gaming experience and techs that bring graphical gains are a must for me. RT is one of the things that WILL change gaming as we know it and when the tech is in full flow, we will be playing near movie quality games. It has to start somewhere and I applaud NVidia for doing it. I never expected 200 fps but all this negativity does stink.
Grow up.

Must admit I'm not seeing those kind of improvements but maybe it's down to the settings I'm using being less improved (TR low). Or the 1950X isn't up to the task of driving this well. Only grabbed a few numbers during multiplayer gameplay to compare with. Will see what the impact of RT medium is later instead of low and try single player

My bad, I shouldn't bite when I get sucked in to a load of rubbish.

Anyways, I hope everyone see's a nice boost like I am. Far from the 1080P 30 fps that was being thrown about :D

:D:(. wot you say mate or ppl will think your a Richard gear lol:D

Some ppl on this forum are mad it’s just a game and a graphic card . Gregster is only sharing his experience with use so lightin up.

I've finally managed to use the MP Devastation map I wanted to check out with the new patch. So at 1440P ultra everything and low RT I was getting 61 FPS before the update. Now using medium RT I'm getting 73-75 FPS. This was the worse map before I think but it plays very smoothly now on medium too. Here's a graph covering a good few mins. This is using a 2080 (non Ti).

I’d have thought you’d have had 74/90 at least on ultra wide
I am actually surprised how far Gregster is willing to go for a bit of eye candy, thought he would be on 2160p if he was willing to make so many sacrifices for image quality :p:D;)

Pffft, 2160P is boring and 3440x1440 is the sweet spot for me :D

I can’t wait to see this game was meant to get my 2080ti back today but DPD didn’t get it to me today maybe come the marra with my new psu.

I agree, people going giddy on a measly 64fps RT on at 1440p...even less at 3440x1440p

By the time the games are out we will be on the 3000 series gpu.
