That's well dodgy!

Such a shady company.

I do wonder why anybody would buy this furnace of a chip now , along with its security issues, over a 3900X.

For what, maybe a few fps advantage in gaming? 160 fps over 150?

Whereas in probably every other metric the 3900X all be superior.

Madness, and on top of that if it fails they can't / won't issue you a replacement!

Buy these are the first UK prices I've seen listed.

3900X is a 12 core part as well and you don't have to disable SMT if you want to be secure. If it can match the 9900K for single core at stock and if the 3900X is close in price to the 9900K. Then what point is there to getting to 9900k and add to the fact the 9900K has to have HT disabled. Making it a 9700k if you want to be secure. 9900K has to drop in price and not by a little.

Well that's exactly the point of contention that makes us all curious about tomorrow: 3900X doesn't seem to match the 9900k (or 9700k) for single-core.

Which is the main reason we don't actually know what's best for gaming yet.

Is that going by the leaked review:

It certainly looks like they may fall slightly short.
But I would wait for confirmation from Gamers Nexus or Hardware Unboxed.

Crap prices. I'm not gonna do the same as you, but another place has far lower prices.

Just look at their 2700X price to see how overpriced they are. £23 higher than rainforest and £19 higher than OCUK. That's approaching 10% higher.

Can you PM where these lower prices are at.

The AMD part numbers are

3600 = 100-100000031MPK
3600X = 100-100000022MPK
3700X = 100-100000071MPK
3800X = 100-100000025MPK

You'll be wanting to shop around with those numbers tomorrow at 2pm. Google indexing might take a while though.

I doubt the 3600 will be that, although when you factor in £10 postage, it may be more accurate.
Yes it will be £189. Free shipping for forum members.
Guideline is £189, we are £188.99 Inc VAT and forum members get FREE shipping and I am not supposed to release pricing even though the USD is known, but AMD can get annoyed and we like AMD so don't ask for any more pricing. :)
