Hello,

I posted a similar thread in the monitor forum, but I now know that the problem is different.
The board won't post, the error light showing is the RAM error.

Running:
3700x
X570 Ultra
2* 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz Corsair Veng
250GB Samsung EVO SSD
2TB Seagate Green HDD
GTX 660Ti - changed back to this from RTX 2070S, as i thought displayport cable the problem, it's not :D

Haven't touched anything - no bios update.
Board spins up, all lights on, all fans running.
DRAM error light.
That's it.

Just took out the battery for 5 minutes, and changed the dimms around (still in slot 2 and 4).
No post.

What to do?

What to do?
Take one of the dimms out, try it in each slot and then repeat with the other dimm. Try in slot 1 and 3 too?

Right, done all that.
Tried one dimm in all the slots, then the second dimm in all the slots.
Then tried slot 1 + 3.
All nothing.
Have you tried clearing the CMOS? There should either be a jumper or button on the board (just saw you already took the battery out which does the same thing). Also, if you can put the latest BIOS on a USB stick you put it in a specially designated USB port and press a button and it flashes the BIOS without you having to turn the PC on (it still needs mains power and you may need to rename the BIOS file to whatever Gigabyte specify). Look in your manual.

Weird, nothing happened.
Changed the bios file to gigabyte.bin for the F4f bios
Inserted into the white usb - correct one.
PSU power on, hit the qflash plus button - no light, waited a few mins.
Looks like nothing has happened.

Try the following outside of the case:
1. Disconnect absolutely everything from the motherboard.
2. Re-seat CPU and cooler.
3. Add 1 stick of RAM (check motherboard manual for correct slot).
4. Connect known working GPU.
5. Connect PSU (power for motherboard, CPU, GPU).
6. Connect monitor to GPU.
7. Connect a keyboard.
8. Short power pins and try booting to BIOS with nothing else connected.

I've given up.
Back to my i2500k and GTX660Ti for now.

Going to RMA the board.
Disappointing stage.
Returned B450
Returning X570
Sorry you're having these problems, unfortunately the fault is probably with the motherboard so I think it's right that you RMA. What was wrong with your B450?

For the B450 board I flashed the bios fine.
Got to the mini bios screen a few times, but wouldn't post to windows.
Then it wouldn't post to the bios. The error light was the CPU error.
So I send it back for a refund, and ordered a X570.

I just wasn't patient enough and after reading a few more comments,
I should have re flashed the bios, changed the dimm slots the ram was using.

With my X570, I have done that all. It is the ram error light now.
I'm being more patient with it. Will re sit the CPU in the morning with one ram dimm in.
A few more goes before RMA.

that sucks, btw mine did seem like it took forever to post before I got my bios updated too hope you sort it out bud. just thought id mention that I had a similar issue

Okay I get that. A few more several times trying to update the bios.
I'll just take the board out of the case, and try the bios update then in the morning.
Too late atm for me.

Well, well, well.

Just took the board out of the case, removed cpu ram etc, nothing connected.
Just lay it on the board box, connected bios usb, cpu, board power to psu.

Light came on, and it updated.
Then I just connected cpu, gpu, one monitor, keyboard, ram.

Took a small while, then I got to the bios updating screen, then the bios.
Finally, something worked, now to fully connect everything.

Thanks mate.
Completed connected all my components now.
Booted into bios, changed the boot drive, and ram to 3200hz from 2133 or whatever it was at.
Slowly got to windows - the new components getting settled in etc.

Now to start fiddling about :D
That's great news!
