Doubt it'll be anywhere as good as the previous two without Michael Bay at the helm.

Surprised to learn that.

After a quick search: Looks like he's been busy making some film called '6 Underground'. Not sure why he chose to make that over Bad Boys 3. Can't imagine Bruckheimer or the studio decided they didn't want Bay back to direct this. Given how many Transformers films Bay directed, you'd have thought he'd be all over the chance to direct another sequel; albeit to a different franchise.

Hopefully this is as good as the 1st, Smith and Lawrence had great chemistry so if that continues (and with the trailer it does look that way) it should be a decent ride

got a feeling it won't be as good as the first, but hey.

If I go in with low expectations I usually enjoy it more.

first one was garbage. 2nd was utter cac that tried to make a jaw-dropping finale out of an openeing scene Jackie Chan did about a decade earlier.
