Hello to everyone,
I am looking for upgrade to my old old old q6600 ;) recently I bought for very good price bundle MSI z170a tomahawk with i5-6600k and corsair h55 water cooling. What I need now is RAM and graphic card. With the memory I aiming in corsair LPX 16gb (2x8gb) 3200mhz but choosing GPU is a nightmare :/ what I read on other forums that gtx 1060 should be optimum to that cpu, but I'm thinking about new card ass well. My gtx580 is giving his last breath at the moment :p
Kind regards

GTX 1060's are far too expensive for the performance they offer. RX 580 8GB can be bought second hand for ~£80-100, or new for £140. If you are buying new, and are on a budget then it would be something like an RX 570 4/8GB. Don't waste money on fast RAM, just get the cheapest DDR4 2x8GB around 2666-3000MHz, you should get change from £50 new.

p.s. why this link is like that?? its from ****** what they offer frim rx580
becuase overclockers uk forum is run and paid for, by...you guessed it...overclockers uk
hence entirely reasonable that posting their competitors links isn't allowed.

£150 it's nice ;) I know I'm not up to date with news but never heard about "powercolor" brand before... was thinking about MSI tbh. Or I just shouldn't bother the brand?

old old old q6600

I loved my Q6600 back in the day! I was wondering when I got it and found an email conversation with a friend where I was weighing up the pros and cons between the Q6600 with 2GB RAM against an Athlon 64 6000 with 4GB RAM. Looking back at that, I'm not sure I did make the best decision!

You'd hope so. Don't Asus have a reputation on here for poor RMA service? I know others have linked to a shocking thread relating to a motherboard return.
