Finished two last night.

Watched the last two eps of The Outsider, was good but not great, gripping though.

Also finished Friends, been watching this with my 14 year old and over the ten years it didn't slide in quality. I only watched the first few series back in the day and thoroughly enjoyed ploughing through them all on Netflix. Will need something new to fill that 20 minute sitcom slot that Friends filled for many months.

Did the same with my daughter - The Good Place was our next Tv prog to watch together.

20min episodes and only 4 seasons.

King of Queens - you will love it, no idea whether it will do for a 14 yo. Or for something a bit more up to date, try Modern Family, best sitcom of recent years imo.

I did like HIMYM but found it did drag towards the end.

The pencil miracle episode though...:D :D

"Am I dead? Am I dead?" Hehe

Agreed, last two seasons was just waiting to find out who the mother was.

Barney Stinson is an absolute legend though, one of the funniest characters to ever grace any sitcom.

He certainly is legen...wait for it...and I hope you're not lactose-intolerant cause the second half of that word is...dairy!

:D

I think my favourite episode is when he goes to high five, no one will high five him and he has his hand up in the air for days until he gets a completion.

Also the comment of not being able to pull a woman dressed as a baby...challenge accepted.

Ha ha, I've only watched it through once and I should perhaps watch it through again, as I don't remember a lot of it if I'm honest. I'm a big believer in a shows ending is a big part of how good it is, and I think HIMYM was let down somewhat by that :(

Is it on streaming services? ** EDIT** Looks like it's on Netflix :)

It did drag on maybe 1/2 seasons too long and the toning down of Stinson at the end didn't really help the feel of the show.

As for streaming services, I think it's on Prime but seasons vary whether they're free or not.

The Trip to Greece - loved the first one round the Lakes, the Italian and Spanish ones were fun but nothing special and this one (second episode, I watched last night, especially is as good as the first series), if you enjoy good food and two master impressionists (Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon) riffing off each other while eating then give it a go.

Will definitely be watching HIMYM.

We finally started watching Outlander this last week, losing interest a bit by episode 11(?), gone a bit "Black Sails soft porn" in the last few episodes since the wedding!
Mrs Cheesyboy watches this and made me have a go at watching it. I gave up after about 3 or 4 episodes as I just wasn't into it: it seemed to me to be firmly a women's show.

@nands give "how i met your mother" a try, it's basically friends lite...i loved it and also a massive friends fan.

(Being the absolute alpha that is prerequisite for an OCUK forum membership of course...)

I find Ted so incredibly wet it pains me. And that Alpha thing was a joke, obviously. I'm not at all alpha. But c'mon Ted, stop moping and crack on mate. Painful. He's the central character too, so na. Can't do it. Even Ross Gellar would have to tell Ted to sort his **** out.
