**FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE 7 SERIES & DEFINE 7XL - AVAILABLE NOW**

Yeah I love that, too. Everything feels such good quality (one exception being the plastic behind the front door).

Not custom watercooled. I'd like to one day but am fairly new to all of this. I've just got a 360mm AIO drawing air in from the front for the 2080 ti (using Kraken G12) and a 240mm AIO for the CPU set up as exhaust. I'm going to replace the top aio with an Arctic Freezer 360 later this week as I'm changing to a 10900k, after a delidding disaster on my 6700k. It should be fine having both front and top, I believe.

My only issue in building it is that the radiator end for the front means it doesn't sit quite low enough to screw against the chassis all the way down. Just the top two (of 12) can't be screwed properly, but it's secure enough.

I might do the full coverage waterblock when I get a 3000 series GPU.

I went for black with a dark tint. Was tempted by white though which could look really if done well, I think. Hope you enjoy it!

Ahhhh fair enough, a 360mm and a 240mm AIO is a great set up, can't imagine you have much hot air in the case at all with having an AIO on the GPU.

Currently trying to pick an AIO for my CPU, not much to choose from with going for a white set up but that Arctic 360 is very tempting with its performance.

You still using that 6700K? I've got my 8700K delidded and it went very (surprisingly) well, definitely thought I was going to botch it but I've got a 3900X sitting downstairs that I'll be swapping to, fancied a change!

Yeah the air leaving the case was quite cool, as were the temps of gpu and cpu, so the setup definitely seemed to work.

Yeah the Arctic seems to be a class above at the moment, from the reviews I've read (mostly of the 280, but I'm sure the 360 will be similar). The only reason not to get it over a Corsair or the like is that they guarantee against their products, damaging your system, but I see that as a very small risk.

No the 6700k is dead, unfortunately. I bought an Aquacomputer Dr Delid tool that failed to remove the cpu and started to bend the piece that pushes the heat spreader, where the bolt touches. I triple checked I was doing it right, and couldn't find an issue, but it just wouldn't budge the heat spreader. I didn't have a razor blade so used a sharp knife from there. I managed to gouge the pcb on one edge and that seems to be enough to destroy the cpu. Black screen on start up. My fault for not being patient and ordering a razor blade!

3900x should be great! I was in two minds about whether to stick with Intel or not. I basically went that way because I feel Intel will make a comeback with the 11th gen. Time will tell

Very nice! I wish it would be a bit easier to put an AIO on a GPU, the new Asetek GPU rads look pretty good so hopefully they'll come to the DIY market at some point.

I'd definitely go for the Arctic if they brought out a white variant, that would be an absolute no brainer, as it is I'm stuck between choosing the Deepcool Castle/Captain 360X or the Asus ROG Strix 360 White, not much choice at all!

That's the same tool I used as well as the other I wanted was out of stock but I forgot what it was called, the most popular one I guess, fortunately it worked without an issue, that sounds like a right pain in the backside though.

And yeah really looking forward to using an AMD system, never had one before as I've always just gone Intel so I'm super curious how it's going to be!

I've got the ROG Strix LC 360 on my GPU. It's doing the job, but I do feel that the pump is a bit weak, and the software is a pain. I couldn't download anything for it from the Asus website. I finally got the Armoury Crate software but it only did lighting, and crashed a lot. I think you'll be fine if you have an Asus mobo, but can't download their AI Suite software which is needed to control pump and fans on it if you don't

Ah, might have to skip that one then as I got the Gigabyte X570 Auros Master that I'm currently waiting for it to be collected though as it got crushed in shipping (was shipped in a thin paper bag), been over 3 weeks waiting for it to be sorted :(

Didn't order it from here but I wish I did.

May have to go for the Deepcool Castle and just get some white Fractal fans to match the others or something!

Here is mine. If anything it's a bit harder to see into than it looks there. I don't have much lighting in there, but when I can clearly see the bios debug code and cpu temp when it's on, for example.

I have an rub lighting strip and 3 x ML140 blue led fans and two rgb ML140 Fans on a Corsair h115i. Motherboard has rgb being an asus X570 hero. I do like the dark tint though.

Honestly I think it will look really good behind the dark tint. :)

After a recent bad run with different cases defects and all I recently caved in and ordered the Define 7 Compact in Dark Tint. Reviewers complain about the lack of space behind the motherboard tray, I had zero issues with cable management and shutting the side panel. Fractal build quality is top notch and more than i can say for the recent cases I've sent back. These XL chassis are becoming far too big and heavy these days although given the space they offer they are fantastic to work in if you have lots of hardware.

All aboard with the XL here.

My Freenas box has no more HDD capacity so one of these is better than building a second Freenas box for the time being.

More than happy with Fractal build quality over the years.

They do a great job at what they are designed for and are a unique offering in the market.

How are you finding it for airflow and temps? And is it more quite than a standard case

Temps are perfectly fine to be honest and with the standard case fans that shipped it was inaudible?

However I did replace the standard fans with my own and ended up with a configuration of 2 front 140mm Silent Wings 3 fans, 1 rear 120mm Silent Wings 3 fan and 1 top 140mm Silent Wings 3 fan and it's like an ice box. I'm using a Noctua NH-U12S which is a slim cooler on a 3600 and a 5700 Gaming X and the temps never peak above 55C on recent warm days. I'm used to working in small cases and cable management was a breeze and I don't require the HDD caddie so the PSU basement area was perfect for arranging the cabling. I don't like huge cases and this was perfect and very light to pick up and move about if required.

Fractal Design define series have always had that front panel from 1st gen to now, i'm still using my Define R4 and I don't really have any issues with airflow or temps at all.

Same really?

Two intakes (Arctic p14's) that run at 500RPM when idle.
One Arctic p14 at the back as an exhaust, runs at 500RPM at idle.

Ben Nevis on the 3600 that runs around 900/1000RPM.

Idle temps for the CPU are 34-40.
Opening Chrome 46-53
Browsing 40-50

Nothing against it really?

Finally just got round to building in mine and got most of the parts in, just need to get an extra couple NVME's and the GPU and it'll be good to go.

Couple of things changed slightly, since I finally got my refund for the mobo (after 2 damn months of waiting and countless emails) I changed that and decided on the AIO, got the Asus x570 Strix-E mobo and the Asus Strix 360mm LC White and it looks actually better than I thought it would.

I bought this case, 360mm rad at the front as intake, 240mm on top. I just open the door for gaming and it cools fine (sub 40 degrees for 2080ti at 380W on a cool day with a bit of fan noise, around 43 with the fans inaudible). Case is behind the TV though.

It's a really well made case. I love how the panels snap on and off, it looks clean and nice with the dark tint side, but I am hoping they release a mesh front for it at some stage. I've also ordered a Demcifilter magnetic screen for the front to replace the plastic slats which are still quite restrictive.

Just wondering if the Demcifilter magnetic screen has appeared and hows it gone for you?

Couldn't seem to find one for this model though?
