Forza Horizon 4 Bench Thread

1440p wasn’t as easy! Needed a lot more gpu clockage and my 2080ti isn’t great might have to try the 380w bios...
I'm on a 2080ti black evga, so I can't swap bios, but I have probably the best binned b chip in existence can hit 2160 and 8700

Although I don't think I can beat these scores from you and the other guy

@FireTwo can you tell me your 10900k settings? Volts and ring ghz? Hyper on or off, all core or just boost.
Asking as my friend ran this bench on his 10900k at 5.4ghz and got 334 cpu computation average to your almost 400 and only 120fps average

5.2GHz with 5000mhz ring bus
1.335v in bios with load line a medium load line. All 10/20cores goin no disabled ect

is my 24/7 stable clock.

I can push 5.3 but needs 1.38 and can just about Cinebench at 5.4 at 1.4’butneay to hot for anything else, need a custom water loop as I’m only using an old 280 aio NZXT.

mem possibly helps at 4400mhz cas16/16/17/36 2T and 280trfc. At 1.53v

most other junk set to auto tbh, I’m using an msi unify board so VRMs are decent.

gpu I can only go 2025 everyday 2100 at a push.

Thanks for that, it is indeed your ram that has gained you 10fps over my friends 10900k,what type is it. I'm guessing it's trident z like mine.

As the weather is a bit cooler I might try and beat yours this week, don't think it's happening though

8700 on memory! That's blazing! I thought the slider in Afterburner only went to +1,500. Which tool do you use?

Sounds like you really got lucky! Is it on water? My XC Gaming was so loud with any OC I ended up going the Kraken G12 route.

Do you have w guide to bios swapping? Also, can you raise voltage as well as power limits with the custom ones?
I use evga x1 precision to get higher than +1500 on the memory. It's goes up to 3000 max on there

I can help you with the bios flashing, no problem, what card do you have? I'll even find which ones you can use if you want.
You can only raise the power limit, the voltage slider doesn't do anything unfortunately.
And yes i have a heatkiller iv block on it and custom water cooled. I had to cool it to 31.c to get these scores :D

Wow, interesting. I stopped using X1 because the voltage curve was harder to work with than on Afterburner, and seemed to reset itself sometimes without me knowing. Maybe I'll try it again.

If you could direct me to the usable bios' for an EVGA XC Gaming, that's be great, please!

I am a bit confused as to how much power it actually pulls. The slider goes to 130 percent, but I saw a post somewhere saying that the ftw3 cards had a base of 300w to which the 130 percent is applied, while my card had a base of 250w to which the 130 is applied.

Higher Power limit would definitely help for Ray traced games. My card hits the power limit much earlier in Control than AC, Forza, etc.

Your setup sounds great with those temps! I get about 40c on an average day at full load, but it's a Frankenstein looking mess with two 40mm Noctua fans slapped onto the end of the G12 bracket to cool the VRMs near the rear IO of the card!

Whatever keeps it cool my friend!

I'll show you where you can look at the power draw and the subsequent increase when I find a suitable example for you as many different bios'seses can be installed.

Is that an xc or an xc ultra? Just need to read about you pcb and chip type.
Maybe we should move this conversation to just between us to not clutter up the thread here?

Not too shabby, especially with my ancient CPU.

OK. I think that this is about my limit unless I stump up the courage to do this bios thing. The floor is yours :D
