I use a Dell 1920*1200 60Hz IPS display for games and a 1440p display for work. Games look and play good @1200p without having to spend 1K+ on a GPU.

3440x1440p @ 70-100fps. 100hz Gsync 34" screen.

Because it looks nice and gsync is better than playing at higher fps without gsync. Driving a 144hz gsync 3440x1440 screen (or 4k) would require a 3080Ti - maybe something for the future

Used to run 2560x1440 144hz IPS, now on a 3440x1440 144hz IPS panel and can never look back. Ultrawide is the way games are meant to be played.

Old monitor: Asus ROG Swift PG279Q - It was great, but the panel was washed out and the darks were not great

New panel: LG 34GN850-B - MUCH better colours and blacks, absolutely sublime monitor.

Whatever res gets me a nice balance of quality and performance. I have a 4K monitor but sometimes have to use 1440P or 1080P because my hardware hasnt been high end for a good 5 years.

3440x1440 @ 100hz. I have debated going to 144hz or higher but I am not wanting to loose the UW and my 1080ti probably couldnt push much higher than 100hz at that resolution.

As per title what resolution do you game at and why?

I’m currently debating on whether to stick to 4K or go to 1440p high refresh rate (will get a new graphics card later in the year). However, I mostly play single player games so not that bothered about high refresh rate. That said my current PC can only do 30 to 40 FPS at 4K.

How about you?
A good poll would be what refresh rate and resolution will you be moving to in the next 6 months

1440p and as many frames possible with all the bells and whistles turned on. My 1080Ti mostly manages higher than 60fps, and playing Doom eternal has it pegged at 144fps :D

To answer the question above.. I won't be moving to any different any time soon, I'll be upgraded the gpu to improve the visuals, not up the resolution and sacrifice fps.

What if you can get 300fps at 1440p but could have 150 at 4K with a new gpu?

4K60 because at 55" you need all pixels you can get, though I do turn it down to 1440p 120hz for some games like Division 2 etc. I'm all about immersion so screen quality & screen size are most important, hence a TV. Wouldn't mind going even bigger tbh!

1440p on a 27" 144Hz Freesync display.
When I upgraded my monitor a couple of years ago, I was considering 4K, but it didn't seem to be worth it unless you had a large monitor, and it would mean a more money on hardware to drive games at that resolution. A higher refresh rate for smoother gameplay was higher on the priority list for me. Don't regret it so far.
