4K because I love the image quality. Been at this resolution since 2014 :D

That said, may try and go back to 1440p again soon and leave 4K gaming to my OLED TV. 1440p will be easier to run and when I want to play older games, some have fixed menus and ui which become tiny.

1440 at 165hz, because it seems to be the sweet spot between quality and cost. High fps is where pc gaming is at but 4k at high fps costs a lot more. I wouldn't want to drop below 60fps, 100 preferably.

1440@144Hz - personally anything from about 100Hz onwards, ideally 120+, is good enough for me but anything below that is just horrid. Beyond 120Hz I don't really gain any noticeable benefit.

I do have a 21:9 monitor and a 4K monitor which I game on sometimes - things like racing games with a wheel and flight sims/space games are a much better experience with more resolution but for FPS games and many other games I find it difficult to find a good compromise between maintaining mouse precision for small movements while being able to cover large amounts of the screen rapidly without using acceleration which is just nasty - I don't see myself ever really moving on from 1440p as it sits in a nice spot for screen estate/resolution detail and input convenience.

1440 144hz for me, recently tried 4k @ 60hz, but playing FPS games, i noticed the slower refresh rate straight away and just couldn't adjust to it so gave up and switched back to my 1440 144hz.

Interestingly i don't think i benefited from the increased reslolution except on desktop where i had obviously more screen space for open windows.

Still 1080p for me, though I want to move to 1440p.
Have the hardware to run at 4k60 if I felt the need but I don't. I would rather turn on all the bells and whistles at a lower resolution. That said, I know 1080p is a waste of my hardware atm.

Just can't find a monitor I like at a price I want to pay right now

2560*1440 144 gsync - still seems the sweet spot between visuals and framerate. Do wish I had ips instead of even this decent tn though although the quality wasn't really there at the time of my monitor purchase.

I don't see anything above 144 being necessary unless you are playing top level competitive fast paced fps. The difference between 60-120 is the biggest impact.

Not sure I really qualify for high refresh, since it's only 75hz, but it's more than 60...

That said, I've probably only just started averaging 75 fps+ with my upgraded graphics card.

Well I been playing ACC and even though my 34" is 100Hz I find setting the game to 60 lets it run nice and smooth , but having said that maybe I need to mess about with some graphic settings and turn some stuff down as I just got myself a 2070 super.

1440p at 95hz with gsync compatibility on 2070 Super. Gives me a future hz and resolution upgrade path while still getting a decent boost from 1080p 60hz which I used till a year ago.

5120 x 1440 (32:9) on a Samsung C49RG90, running with a VEGA64 AIO and to be honest for most of the games I play it's fine, particular sweet spot in DOOM 2016/External which really fly.

4k60 is perfect for me but my 1080ti really struggles on newer games so can't wait for next gen cards......as long as they are priced right this time.

Sometimes game at 3840x1600 21:9 which is nice for a change but I miss the vertical space to use it full time.

I game at 1080p using a 17inch laptop screen with 120hz refresh with Gsync. My gpu is a gtx1080. I am looking to replace my laptop with a rtx2080super laptop and a 17inch 4k screen (GT76 Titan) Some games I will be able to run at native 4k but newer titles such as cyberpunk 2077 will struggle id imagine so I hope gaming at 1080p on a 4k isn't to bad image quality wise.

I don't have space for a pc setup so I tend to use high end laptops.
