NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Still 3060 probably, at least according to the leaked roadmap from Zotac (?). That's where it stopped. There will ofc be lower models but who knows what they will be called.
It will be interesting to see which card is roughly inline with the consoles and pricing down the line. Would be ideal for my wife as she's happy as long as she can run Ark well and the odd triple A game on the TV.

My guess would be the 3060 @ £249-299 = ps5 and 3060ti @ £349 = XSX
Prices may be slightly lower on AMD for the same performance but probably not by much, we'll see but AMD just seems to match Nvidias pricing recently

Thats why there are no cards, the manufacturers fedup with Nvidia forcing them to sell them a cut prices, funnelled them off to their 3rd party resellers and flogged them on Ebay LMAO... you just cant make this stuff up, MSI are a horrendous money grubbing outfit. I for one will never buy another of their products.

Did you read the article? They are giving the purchasers a refund to match MSRP.

And some people said the 10900k isn't power hungry in games.. ha! those people haven't paired it with a 3090 have they

10900 + rtx3090 + battlefield V = 91c and 220w for the 10900k lol

Only cause they got caught. Or do you think they would have refunded the difference before today?

Honestly some people here are so deluded, your 100% right though, if they hadnt have gotten caught this would have just carried on while they rubbed their greasy grubby mitts together....

They'll get a pass from the many users though who think they can do no wrong, sadly... They are a terrible company, trying to bribe techtubers, the whole Nvidia GPP shenanigans etc...

I for one wont ever purchase anything of theirs again.

I agree it looks pretty shady, but then it was only 3 cards as far as I can tell, which seems like someone doing something on their own initiative, rather than some corporate decision.

first KFA 2 3080 review is up. Just goes to show no binning and just a silicon lottery.

Holds stable overclocked to 2115 boost! Thats the highest overclock I have seen, better than any asus strix card even.

Nvidia is not binning but manufacturers can bin however they wish to

You think a Kingpin card won't be binned? The man the myth the legend himself has the world record in Timespy Extreme using his Kingpin card and it's not even close, its 4k points ahead of anyone (that's an RTX
2060 size advantage) else because every else is using FE, Asus TUF, EVGa ftw3 that they got to review to overclock

Oh Kingpin and lightning caards will be binned. But rumours keep popping up that the chips are binned from Nvidia and you buy either bin 0,1 or 2 from them. Like you say retailers can chose to bin but I dont see why they would waste the money atm. They cant make cards fast enough to meet demand.

Hence even buying the cheapest card you have a 10% chance of a 2100Mhz card.

Plus the kingpin has lots of other features which makes it get the highest score, not just a binned chip. AT the moment I dont think EVGA has even supplied a card to a member of the public yet never mind trying to sell them Kingpins.

Will be January before you can buy a kingpin.

I found these images from a different forum. They are figures from a competitor of CaseKing in Denmark, so I am not going to say the name of the company in case that's considered a 'competitor' for the purposes of a ban hammer. However, if true, quite telling as to how low stock levels are. I've saved the images and reuploaded them to PostImg in case the originals get taken down...

Imagine if OC did a list like this, would make life so much easier for everybody.

I still think the names are just a shell game. I think we should focus on how each price point performs with each generation. Just ignore what the manufacturer calls them and look at performance vs price.

The performance that Ampere offers at $700 is what I'm interested in. They could name it a 3020 or a "3090 super-duper-Ti". The performance is worth the money to me.

It makes absolutely no difference to me what it's called.

I do and it always leads me to the 70 series
