  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.
AMD Link for Windows Known Issues
  • Intermittent grey frame corruption might be observed when streaming with HEVC on certain configurations via an Internet connection. A workaround is to use the AVC encoding setting instead.

FINALLY !

I've sent so many reports on these issues running multiple monitors on Vega, has been going on for months/years(?), pretty much since the drivers moved to Adrenalin.
It's got a bit better recently, in that at least the drivers will time out/crash and the reporting s/w catches it but at it's worst it did - and still can at times - cause the PC to freeze, or black/green screen, or BSOD, or straight up hard power reset.
It, for me at least, can be so easy to trigger. Watch twitch/youtube on 2nd screen, do literally anything else on the main screen. Browse web, use discord, steam, epic launcher, game (windowed or full screen).
It's not 100% but do it enough and it becomes often enough to be annoying.

Is it worth me updating my bios for the extra SMA performance? I'm on a b550, r7 3700x, 32gb RAM with vega 64. I never seem.to be getting 60 fps in any games, I am usually between 50 and 60 fps, mostly 58 fps. Would this SMA give me that little boost I need?

Games I'm playing atm are horizon zero dawn, aliens fireteam (once released) and new world (again once released).

21.7.2 brought more performance from what people commented, and 21.8.1 seems to be a slight step back, at least in benchmarks.

After the latest update to 21.8.1 my 3D Mark score dropped by nearly 200 points.

However 3D Mark also had an update too.

Not sure what has caused the reduction in the score?
