Vince's Ebay Repair Thread - (Console Repairs & Mods)

I want to say it was me but alas it wasn't!

My son has a v2 elite pad that's not working properly. From memory its the shoulder pads and maybe stick drift. Is this something you could look at?

Lots coming in right now. If you give me a week or so I can take a look :)

Just quickly reshelled and sorted out these 2...

Both had a case of rubber peel.
Vince, ever had a series 2 where the top paddles don't work ?
I've a couple, I have tried different paddles, if I take the paddle off and press it registers oddly. But then the paddles work on another controller.

Also got one to look at that's peeling like the above. Going to put a starfield shell on, think they look cool.

We talking rear paddles? Or top triggers?

Thanks man, my google fu skills were failing me.

Talking of actual trigger buttons, I had to re-do an RB button yesterday, when I got it in its housing, it just was not 100% flat to the board, so the button would not press! re-done now.

On the plus side, the ps3 disk drive change worked out all right. Happy fixing this weekend Vince!

edit: Just sat down with a cuppa and watched the video, thank you very much, I have done this before, think it was a switch with a dodgy A button perhaps, testing my memory there. Will give that a go. thanks again!

Little update just because I think some people might want to know what an ayaneo rma/repair experience is like, I contacted aya neo about the 6800u based ayaneo air plus flagship on the 6th of october, it took several weeks to arrange getting it back to them and I sent the flagship console to them on the 17th of last month. It took 2 days to arrive with them and they charged me $250 (which i'm now lead to believe is nothing to do with the repair and is just my costs for getting it to them and return shipping). I've been chasing for updates since the 24th of last month after it being with them for a few days just to actually check that they got it. for a month solid they have been telling me that its on the way to their Shenzhen warehouse, this is where we are now at.... This is for a device that starts at $779, which should also be in warranty but im not the original owner so they wanted nothing to do with that, nothing at all...

Strange is not the word I would use, I would use the word slow, at this point this could be a 3 month turnaround or more from the first point of contact:

I'll keep you all updated :) For some clarity they have made it clear, if parts are needed everything is chargeable... Lets see what happens.

Even in China Ayaneo are a huge PITA to deal with.
I needed a replacement battery for my Air and it took over a month to resolve. I just wanted to pay them money to buy a battery, but they weren't having it. As seems to be the case for so many companies these days, it required moaning on their social media platforms to get a solution.

With bigger names having better hardware out, Ayaneo really need to up their game.
