Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 3rd April 2025]

Ipswich get their first win of 2025 you feel it’s too late for them, bottom three show how the divide is widening to the Championship

Unless we go ahead early then this game is historically terrible and today was no different. We allowed the game to become a dog fight again but thankfully found a way to grind out the win.

Like the quality of the football, it's a rarity for this game to finish without a horrible challenge from an Everton player and it was no different again today. Tarkowski knew exactly what he was doing, he's launched himself into that challenge in an absolutely stupid way and we can only be thankful that Mac Allister didn't pick up a serious injury. It's bad enough the ref didn't give it on the field but for Tierney on VAR not to overturn that, I'm fully expecting him to be giving an exclusive interview with a **** rag newspaper in the months to come announcing he's gay after videos of him calling Klopp a **** are leaked.

No idea how we didn't get at least a point tonight. I get the feeling that we could play a thousand times at your place and never win. Felt things just went against us - two weird goals to concede, hit the post, maybe could've had a penalty at the end.

Oh well. Maybe in the 3025/3026 season...
Yeah, hard place to get a result for southern teams. Not many come away with anything. Brentford defended well and made things very difficult, hence the type of goals we scored were neeeded to win it.
Funnily enough, this fixture was Howes first in charge of Newcastle when he watched it in a hotel room because he had COVID. 3-3 draw and results that day conspired against us and we bizarrely went bottom of the league. :)

Great 3 points for us, that was a potential banana skin. Isak is getting locked after and we will need him.

Just send the Tarkowski tackle, astounded he hasn't been sent off for that. That's a horror tackle, easily a potential leg breaker.
