What are people's opinions on PS Plus, specifically the game catalogue that is available in the Extra tier? I am thinking about signing up for a year of PSPlus Extra but am humming and hawing about whether I should just buy and sell disc games instead. Do you feel like it was good value?

Picked up Indiana Jones to help this miserable wet Easter Weekend, but man it gives me big time motion sickness!? Anyone else experienced this? Never in my life have I got motion sickness from a normal FPS game but something weird about this makes me queasy in like 10 minutes. Their is an option for reduce screen shake but it doesn't seem to make a difference, also no FoV slider and it's extremely narrow which doesn't help.

Shame as its quite fun but I can't have a proper session on it.
Playing this on pc and yeah motion sick. Managed to tone it down with fov etc but appreciate it's not an option on PS5

Im subbed for a year, there is some great games on it, but me personally Ive either already played them or I just don't have the time to, next year im just subbing to the essential tier for the online and save backup element, unless I see another good deal on extra.

GT7 always updates while in rest mode for me, though it is digital. Weird though I don’t see why it wouldn’t update as everything else does.

Quick question. I just bought a PS5 along with the disc version of Gran Turismo 7 (PS5 version). It has installed the contents of the disc to the PS5 and it is now downloading an update from the internet 120GB in size. The problem is that it will not download this update in rest mode. I put it in rest mode and when I switch the PS5 back on it hasn't downloaded anything. I have enabled all the settings for rest mode in the settings menu and have tried both WiFi and ethernet but nothing seems to make downloading in rest mode work.

Has anyone else come across this issue because it is a bit of a pain to have to leave the PS5 fully powered up every time I need to download a big game?
I've had the same issue of games from disc not installing in rest mode on my PS5 Pro. Games from PSN have been fine. Checking settings everything looked correct. It may have been GT7 as well, I can't remember it was last November shortly after the Pro launch, I also had GoW Ragnarok and Stellar Blade on disc, but can definitely remember complaining to my friend about it. Games installed fine if PS5 was left powered on.

Maybe some sort of software bug? It is pretty annoying and kind of hard to do a Google search for as most people with a similar problem turns out to be them expecting the data from a disc to install in rest mode rather than the problem I have where it is a disc game which the data from the disc has already been installed but the update download from the internet won't download in rest mode.

I put it down to a software glitch on the Pro. I've got Resident Evil 4 and Astro here on disc, might try them whilst I'm off, see if the problem still happens.

That's what I do ... I have a sub to PS Essential for cloud saves ( don't care about multiplayer ). The Extra tier is good value for someone who is new to the ecosystem and doesn't own any of the 1st party titles.

Well my daughter keep stealing my edge controller because hers is broken so needed a to buy a new controller.

Used some Dad maths and ended up buying a PS5 pro!!

Selling Portal, Xbox x and PS4 pro. Middle daughter gets my edge controller, youngest gets my PS5 and I end up with a new duel sense which comes with the PA5 pro!

That's what we call responsible parenting ;)

Are you sure it had finished installing from the disc? Games can appear installed and ready to play but will often still be copying data from the disc in the background, it not progressing in rest mode suggests this might have been the case and it was waiting for the install to finish before downloading and installing any downloaded updates.

Tempted by the Oblivion remaster - loved that on the PC way back in 2006 or whenever it was out, but might wait and see what player reviews are like, and if it has the OST as the music helped to make it magical

I've started it today on Game pass.

Seems like the original score is in place (so far). I agree the soundtrack was brilliant. The Morrowind soundtrack was also pretty awesome.

I’m on holiday in France at the minute. I watched some footage of Oblivion this morning. Looks like they’ve done a fantastic job on it so I will grab it when I get home on Sunday. Played it in the 360 but never did finish it and can’t remember much about it.
