Nice one; just rechecked and PS Direct now offer it at the new price. Ordered.

Yep agree. I don’t usually do this and just suck it up but the fact I ordered it less than 48 hours before the price had dropped and I’ve not even received the item I wasn’t losing £30. Item received so will send back later today and get the cheaper one on Thursday latest :)

Aye. drive arrived today from PS Direct; a day early! Finally time to replay HFW NG+ on the Pro (:

Getting quite tired of Sony and the PS5 lately. I don't feel they're doing enough with the UI and OS features in general, and its clear they will be increasing game prices and pushing the console to be digital only. I don't want anything to do with Windows, so I'll likely end up looking at a Steamdeck one day.

Aye. Recent events have simply accelerated price increases but my mantra of never paying more than 50 quid for a game remains. Microsoft blowing up their Xbox exclusivity has further promoted laziness with Sony but then again I never really cared for fancy UI or features as I solely want to play games. I still think Playstation is the only performance game console in town long-term.

I don't agree with the price hikes ( again ! ) and feel they are as much to do with Sony fearing losing money in the US market from tariffs as it is with them simply becoming greedy. But ... if you're a patient gamer, and not susceptible to FOMO, you can still pick up games 6-12 months later for a much reduced price. This never happens with Nintendo. Xbox are no better than Sony ... have you seen the prices of some of their forthcoming games ? Doom is £99.99 for the digital deluxe edition, £89.99 for Forza Horizon 5 ( despite being an almost 5 year old game ). The whole video gaming industry is becoming very expensive. I think the bubble is going to burst soon.

The whole video game industry is becoming very GREEDY. That's what it boils down to. Pure greed. And Nintendo are no better: they've whacked up the prices of Switch 2 games.

It only makes PS Plus less appealing to me, I just want to play online with my friends. I've never really cared about the free games.

My concern is the path of going digital only and the lack of physical media. So we have the pay out nose for over price digital games or subscriptions to them.

Works fine for PC as we have 100's of places we can buy digital games from. Not the case with consoles.

"We are raising prices because we can" - That's what Sony is secretly telling everyone now.

I bet we get hit by this too.
Don't care how Sony ( or Nintendo ) try to spin this ... if every region sees a price hike but not the US then that'll go down very poorly with customers. We will effectively be subsidising US gamers. Sod that !

Reasons why countries need to de-couple from the US.

Sony isn't even a US company but they are screwing everyone over just to protect America.....why?!?!! The pretend "world leader"
