IT: Welcome to Derry

Have I got face on my face?

Bit silly but.....lol. I guess fires and smoke are not deadly in the 1950s
Weird shark jumping episode.

What a brilliant series. I didnt think it would be that good. I learnt more about IT than the last 2 movie combined. Does anyone know if there any material left for another season or does that lead to the movies in story?

Rough episode to watch, Rich was annoyingly endearing but a grand example of lost potential.

They're blatantly alternating the timeline here more than we thought, the same happened earlier in the year with The Institute which is another King related media.

IT doing the 27 year thing isn't happening anymore with the prison door open, that or he's doing the 27 year thing in multiple other nearby towns or cities at different years.

Are we getting a Kingverse? I'd actually not be opposed if done right.

The otherworldly element didn't actually seem to melt in the furnace and it remains a possibility that someone ends up putting it back where they dug it out, before the season is over, to trap IT again.

I think it's a good, well made and acted show. Wish they would tone down the CGI monsters a bit, it was the same in the movies. Liking the lore addition.

But to me this series was kind of setup to never be great as due to the movies we know the kid's don't kill IT, the military don't trap it and it's all adding up to a bit of a nothing burger as you can't now re-write the films to include characters from the series.

Still good though.

If anything I think season 2 will go back to the 1935 cycle

[edit] for some stupid reason I got it in my head that the current season was in 1935 - which it obviously is not.

Watched the 1st episode, was slow until ending. But seriously what was the urgency to go to the theatre dead of the night? You know some freaky things are going, but hey let's not go at day time. Having said, will continue watching.

Just watched ep4. Little Frances decides like a hundred meters into the woods when the girl was telling him to stop. Still runs when she ain't chasing him.

They're running for their lives in the graveyard, kid (will?) notices a movement behind and decides to peak in that dark doorway... Come on

Can't remember name but she came out of the mental hospital but they didn't show why she hated it in the 1st place.
