Anyone still play Unreal Tournament 99 ?

UT99 and Quake 3 were peak multiplayer FPS, UT03 and 04 were boring pap by comparison.

The fans/Devs/modders who are doing 2k4 already did UT99

OldUnreal, purely devoted to the old Unreal (Tournament) versions

Whilst 2k4 was better that 2k3, UT99 remains the best in the Unreal series to this day

I played all of them but don't recall the difference between 2k3 and 2k4 tbh.

Weird, I don't recall the vehicles at all, I have a vague memory of some kind of buggy.. did I even play it, no I think I did.

Spent a lot of hours on UT2k3 and 2k4, that was back when I did mapping and made AS-TempleOfTrials, it used the Assault game mode as a basis for making tricking maps with stages that increased in difficulty to practice all the jumps and dodges you could mix in the game. I think it was last year I checked out an online server browser and there were still servers that have it in their rotation over 2 decades later. Felt kinda good ngl.

I know its unrelated but a similiar era and a shooter, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory talk to me fellas, GOATed or a piece of ****? I absolutely loved it.

In honesty I forgot it even existed until seeing this thread, whereas UT'99 was one of my formative PC gaming experiences, and one I'll never forget.
