Just cooked the family a top notch Sunday roast, nothing but compliments... What can I say ;)

Used the juices from the chicken to make the gravy also which added to the flavour

It's so warm and humid I had a Subway salad roll supper.

After last night's insomnia am tempted to buy some grog to ensure rest.

Not seeing as many houses with Christmas lights up this year, including ourselves and our neighbours who usually do so. The whole vibe of the country seems a bit flat at the moment.

Yeah it definitely doesn't have a Christmas feel this year - one of my colleagues was commenting on that just now. The farm across from us is pretty decked out but generally there is very little this year.

Surprising - I'd say it's increased in my neighbourhood with 4 or 5 houses going full neon all over. Two houses opposite me are both lit up like, well, Christmas trees.

The house at the back of us have added a roof section and several inflatables/statues to the usual snowman, windows and exterior lights. It feels a bit American but kids must love it.

We were drilling some transitions to chokes this morning - I was knackered having left the house at 530 and wasn't in the mood. Anyway, as part of the drill I forgot to tap and I was put to sleep.

Honestly, best sleep I've ever had. Apparently I was only out for 2-3s, but it felt like I was dreaming for about 30 mins.

Best start to the day ever, I was full of beans for the rest of the day!

It is weird how it works sometimes - I set my alarm clock on snooze couple of days ago and woke up 10 minutes later feeling like I'd been dreaming for a good 2 hours, though still felt groggy and meh and needed another actual 2 hours of sleep really.

Yeah I think it depends where on your sleep cycle you actually wake up, its strange how sometimes a few minutes can have such a dramatic impact.

It was just really weird that that 2-3s I was unconscious felt like an eternity, and I came to and suddenly felt full of energy. It was the ultimate microsleep! :D

I won't recommend people start choking themselves though... however I'm happy to offer my services!
