*** Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Thread (it can fold and everything) ***

Well, I could not wait with the Black Friday deal on the 512GB model. I contacted Three and asked them about upgrading, they wanted to charge me the full price on the device which would have meant device payments of 79.21 a month plus 30 quid calls and internet. Instead I got it for 1549 @ £15 less a month from Samsung direct. I will probably cancel my airtime and get a sim from giffgaff for 15 quid.

The thinness of the 7 makes a massive difference to me. Using it folded feels like almost a normal slab phone and isn't a brick in your pocket.

Going to a 7 from a 3 is almost half the thickness.

I had a look in to the 7, looks really nice and very thin but i can't really afford it. I get all my phones as renewed to try and keep the price down. I never bother with contracts.
 
Understandable, I had no intentions of buying the Fold 7, but the preorder offer was so good it was a no-brainer. I paid less than £800 for my 512Gb Fold7.

For the Fold 7?

I can highly recommend the Benks cases..

I have the grand combo (front/back and screen protector).. it's impossibly thin, looks great and the magsafe works perfectly on my Otterbox magsafe wireless charger.
 
I have been on the Pixel 10 pro fold for 3 months, I am starting to miss the fold 7!! I might hold out for the fold 8 now though
 
I miss One UI funnily enough!! I find it easier with Muiltitasking. Also there are some annoying things, bluetooth isn't great on the 10 Pro fold. sometimes you get it cutting out etc. plus audio sync sometimes on youtube is off with BT headphones.

there are some positivies though to the 10 Pro fold, the camera is definitely better than the fold7
 
Yeah funny isn't it. I spent years being annoyed by Samsung software on otherwise great phones like the original Galaxy S phones, particularly the S2+S3. I yearned for Nexus/Pixel phones with clean software....but there was always a hardware let down.

Now I actively enjoy One UI, as you said, particularly for multitasking.
 
Have been using an iPhone for the past 7 years but fancied a change, been looking at these for a while since the 6 and managed to pick up a Fold 7 in Shadow Silver for a reasonable price. Have to say so far I'm enjoying it, the form factor is not as weird as I thought it would be and since I last I used a Galaxy (S2) One UI seems to have come on a lot.

Just wondering what cases have people used/got as stuggling to find something decent.
 
I actively avoided Samsung for years because of Touchwiz (I think that's what you would have used on the S2). Now their software is good IMHO

The case I've got on my fold 6 covers everything, even has a privacy cover for the front screen. I really like it, I'll try to find a link for you.
