Why? You have a fused socket and linked to a set of extension cables that you used which are designed to plug onto the components end of a psu cable not the psu end as pin outs are likely to be different. Why would I lean towards any other conclusion?Quite surprised by your post to be honest, I've seen a fair few of your posts over the years and thought you were solid, and knew your stuff.
It's not whether the 12VHPWR cable is standardised, it may be that the Lian Li PSU isn't quite standard (because it doesn't need to be - it comes with all required cables). The fact that Lian Li advertise things like increased copper thickness and other bespoke mods (above and beyond the standard), then it might just be the tolerances on that connector are so tight that you should only use their connector.Kolink make (or at least put their name on) power supplies with 12VHPWR cables. So unless 12VHPWR cables aren't actually standardised so they work together, then they should be considered as good as 1st party cables, since they are 1st party cables with some PSUs.
No, more because you’ve failed to grasp the fact that cable in question isn’t an extension cable. It’s one cable from the PSU to the GPU no additional connections in between. Hence not an extension. Why? That footnote is regarding the main 20+4 and 4+4 & 8 pin connectors afaik. Sucks to be me I guess if that’s the case. It's not whether the 12VHPWR cable is standardised, it may be that the Lian Li PSU isn't quite standard (because it doesn't need to be - it comes with all required cables). Equally there is a big opt out on Lian Li's site that states "using incompatible cables may void your warranty"

Yet another reason why I will never use 3rd party cables.
Cablemod was regarded as great, until they weren't.
These were the stories that stopped me ever considering the idea on any subsequent build.
and we're not 12

Plus we both have taste, and don't need silly strobing LGBTQ RGB discos on our cablesand we're not 12

If it's "not quite standard" then it shouldn't be labelled 12VHPWR (or 12V-2×6 if it's the newer version), since that refers to a particular standard. It would have problems with GPU compatibility too, since both ends of the cable have the same connector. It's not whether the 12VHPWR cable is standardised, it may be that the Lian Li PSU isn't quite standard (because it doesn't need to be - it comes with all required cables).

How about stating that in your post then instead of linking to a set of EXTENSION cables. The page on the website is abysmal as well, white cables with white connectors on a white backround!! I can still see them rejecting a RMA, especially if it goes to Lian Li as you used a third party cable. I hope you get a replacement but they have a very easy way to reject it. This awful connector really needs to be replaced or better still, killed off. Anyway I am off to bed because this flu is awful, my head feels like it's going to explode and my lungs feel like they are on fire. It's been a week now and no improvement. No, more because you’ve failed to grasp the fact that cable in question isn’t an extension cable. It literally states "Extension" multiple times in the product page you've linked to, seems like a pretty sensible conclusion from pastymuncher that they're extension cables for extending original cables and not for replacing original cables. If you're not using them as extensions that doesn't change the fact that that's what they're being sold as.No, more because you’ve failed to grasp the fact that cable in question isn’t an extension cable. Have a look at the ASRock PSUs, made by reputable OEM manufacturer and one of the models on the range have a neat little passive sensor on the 12VHPWR cable, which might be of use.Going to do some research on the 1200W Corsair HX1200i (2025) PSU now as a replacement.

If I were buying now it would probably be an Antec HCG Pro Platinum all the reviews I looked at praised them highly.
I don't necessarily care about the efficiency over lesser ones but the higher you go the better the components will be, there's no where to hide.
