What have you done to your car today?

Yesterday, our Subaru club had a convoy to a Children's Hospice in Manchester.

Concidering im paying around £261 for an oil service and air filter change, i was dissapoint that i only had one cup of tea and one small biscuit then they take away the cup

Seems like the tea is one only as you walk in :( , then they take away the cup :o :p I was too scared to ask for a refill

Probably didn’t want you plugging the scanner in and finding air bubbles in the China to complain about

Fitted a new front nearside sunroof drain to our Discovery 3. People talk it up as the worst, multi day job ever. Its pretty awkward and not fun, but it only took 4 hours with tea breaks - trick is to soften all the wiring and plastics with a greenhouse heater for an hour before - bonus warm hands!

Got a lovely photo of my car yesterday from a Mr Sadiq Khan. Wasn't the best quality for the £90 he wanted for it.

Got caught out going through the Blackwall Tunnel for the first time in about 5 years. Spotted the 'C' on the road on the exit and thought... Ooh, better see if there is now a charge for that. Then instantly forgot all about it.

Merry Christmas to me I guess

Started the process a week ago or so to import something else, this time with full access to USS auctions for the first time.

It's off for a few weeks now but looking to take my time this time as I have an extension getting done, so no rush.

Looking at a list of 50 or so things as usual with the Blade Master, Toyota Mark X, Polo Cup and Daihatsu Boon x4 probably top of the list

Fitted an "OEM+" mod yesterday, TRD Quick Shift gear lever. Not a massive reduction in the already short throw, but it's made shifting feel tighter and more mechanical (perhaps just by increasing shift weight a tad). Took it out for a drive this morning and it feels nicer and more snappy moving around the gate. Not a game changer, but rounds off the stock setup a little.

Arguably I should have gone with the Billetworkz short shifter as it offers a much reduced throw for a little more money...but it seems to be plagued with rattling issues, and being US based, would be a pain to return. So stuck with the more marginal improvement of Toyota's own parts.

I topped up 10 litres of adblue on the weekend

the refil was showing as 17litres, i put in 10, now its showing as 9litres refil

May need to grab another 10 litre tub for £12

Added an Audison Bit Ten DSP to my system -- this was more work than it should have been. The low-level feed (before it hit the OEM amp) was too low for the DSP to see - so I had to run more cable and find enough of a spectrum of the horrible Shaker System (the Mustang audio) EQ'd and filtered signals to make a full range at the DSP... This ended up being Front channel woofer and front channel tweeter signals, luckily the Bit Ten was smart enough to sum the signals and de-EQ the signal to give me a mostly clean and flat signal to use...
But yeah... I think I'm done with this car audio **** now xD

Booked my fabia vrs (DSG) in for repair - Clutch slipping in 4th / 5th - Xmas bonus down the pan. :(
