BMW and M Power Owners

I don’t think any issues with the diff oil seal are related to change intervals so just do it in line with the recommendations.
cheers. diff is still nice and dry so will likely run it a bit longer as I've just forked out for a major service and the new front bumper..

Thinking of getting a 1 Series, maybe pre or post 2024 refresh. I would be interested in peoples insight on both especially if anyone know what the suspension is like as i understand its consider on the stiff side in the M Sport

The wife had an F40 128Ti. The suspension is rock solid. We took it on a weekend to the south coast and it was one of the most uncomfortable trips I think I've ever taken. Not sure if it was specifically due to the MSport suspension, or if the 128Ti is just setup that way to try and counter the chronic torque steer.

As @Dangerous Dave said, the F40 interior is *much* better than the new F70. BMW have cut a lot of corners there, and it really shows.

I'm not sure suspension would be hard to reduce torque steer?

Anyway have you considered non run flats? I've always found my BMW's to be much less crashy and hard once I've made the switch.

It's just a bit nervy without a spare.

True. I guess it's to try and make it feel 'sporty' instead, but on a long run it's tiring.

It was on Kumho Ecsta non-RFTs.

Worth doing sooner? It'll be out of warranty in May and if I keep it, I'd rather not have to fork out for a new diff..

Could do it for peace of mind but really your gearbox is doing the work, a diff has a much easier time.

Pondering on a ZF8 transmission fluid change once the car hits 60-65k at an indie which is a specalist ZF8 transmission service centre

I understand that the procedure should be around £300-500 to complete as far as i can see

Early Christmas gift from the motoring gods, just had a stone hit the windscreen & put a nice 6" crack in it.
Anyone know roughly how much a new screen for a G22 M440i costs these days?

Fitted at the main dealer, probably well over £1000. The quote for my 7 Series was £1800.

I managed to get Autoglass and my insurer to pay for it in the end, after weeks of hassle.

I had mine done in October 2023, 8 years old and around 55k miles. It's now on 69k and the shifts are much better, almost imperceptable.

Did you take it to a specialist indie who deal with ZF8 transmissions and the transmission fluid changes for them ? how much did they charge inc vat ? I think somone said on here they paid around £300-£500

Is it not covered on your insurance? Will be well over a grand if not..
