A per the post above - really wish Cameron would drop cartoon this nonsense and go back to making proper films. He was one of my favourite directors once but - good god please make it stop !!
Maybe,2 felt long imo could have trimmed some parts of it out especially some of the scenes that felt more like a tech demo / show off at what we can do now than adding to the story.
Last film I watched close to this runtime at cinema was Mission Impossible dead reckoning part 2 and that didn't feel like it was dragging until the last 20 min.
Can see it putting some people off going to the cinema to watch it when they are used to 90 min runtimes.

In general, in both the 2nd and 3rd film, its surprising how much "feels" and empathy you feel towards the Na'vi and the animals on Pandora, considering its mainly CGI.It also gives a surprising amount of feels with the whaling scene, which despite being fake is a pretty uncomfortable watch.
Sorry to hear that @Kyo I hope you are on the mend.i havent had a chance to watch it yet. Had a bit of a emergency and ended up in hospital the last few days. Will defo check it out after a few more days recovery. Cant wait.

I have been putting this off so far as the cinemas are simply heaving around here. I'm off between Christmas and New Year so I'll try to see it then.
I'm expecting pretty much the same as the second one, as has been said, but I will see it in 3D IMAX for the visuals so I expect to enjoy it.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone!![]()
