**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

These three were on my shortlist. I currently have an S23+. First the P10 Pro XL came out and the specs ended up being mediocre for the money. Then the X9 Pro came out and there were many reports of poor speakers. Speakers are important to me. After that the OP15 came out and the cameras have turned out to be poor. Likewise a decent camera is important to me. I might just end up going for an S26+/ultra next month.
Having used both, waiting for the S26 Ultra is a good call.

Absolute bargain

yeah it is, but I wouldn't want to pay any more for it

it's obviously super fast with a great battery, but the camera is total ass (imho)

wasn't expecting it to be as good as my pixel 8, but nor was I expecting it to be A LOT worse.......just taken some photos for ebay and I'm reluctant to use them they are that bad

regret not buying the pixel 10 pro on the giffgaff black friday deal now

:edit: ok, so it's not an easy point and shooter. You have to spend much more time getting good lighting, then it takes usable photos

Depends on preference, I ain't much into taking pictures also don't think it's terrible at them either I also wouldn't buy pixel I don't like stock android the lack of customisation also the battery and charging speed sucks

I find them all overpriced Inc OnePlus when it's £800+

Glad it's possible to buy it cheaper unlike the others and at that price it's no contest imo

The camera is indeed pants compared it the Pixel. Much more effort required.

Here's a product shot I took with it. ISO @ 1250 even with a load of natural light. Main cam.

Is anyone using a Xiaomi 15? How`s your battery life?

The battery was fine until the latest software update. Since retiring, I`m not a heavy user so it`s not much more than an ornament or a pocket watch these days :)

Phone gets switched off around 9pm every night and 8am start. Until recently, I`d easy get 2 days out the battery, now, I barely get one. Pretty grim for a £900 phone back in April.

I realise there may be an app in the background, but these apps were all there before the O/S update.

Big mistake reading through the last few pages. I`m thinking of going for a OP15 now :)
And as if by magic, the battery life is back to normal.

To be honest, I tweaked the 5g settings in 'Settings>Battery>Additional features>5g battery saver option'.

I`d rather just have have the option to choose 2/3/4/5g myself like most other phones, but seems to have solved it. Charged up to 100% yesterday morning and now sitting at 74%

No new phone from Santa then :) :)

The OP15 performance really does highlight how peasant spec the Google's Tensor is. It's as bad as the Google camera is good vs OP.

Both my Pixel 8 Pro and OP15 had 65 apps to update with play store. I started both at the same time... The OP15 blistered through it in under 4 mins.... The P8P still had 60 apps to go. No not a typo.

Edit. P8P still chugging on 40 mins later. Down to 11 apps left. Comical.

Both on WiFi? Seems poor that.

Currently got a pixel 9 pro xl 128gb, quickly running out of space.
Can get a OnePlus 15 16gb RAM 512gb storage for £650 once I recycle my pixel, will I regret it?

Last OnePlus I had was the 7 with the popup camera and really liked it but been using pixels since then. The camera complaints for the 15 are the only thing really making me question it, I assume oxygenOS is still decent?

Everything on the OnePlus is good to fine barring the camera. If you need a great camera this isn't it.
