Yeah as much as I enjoyed my time in RE4 Remake I dunno if I'd of enjoyed it as much as £40+ but then again I also only typically play games once and move on, and those I do replay are usually a long time between

Remember going over to my cousins house in my early teens and was blown away by the early city section of RE 2 and the classic dogs breaking through the glass in the original, nightmare fuel back then, some great memories.
Similar memory here. RE1 i found scary. By the time RE2 was out i was not scared. Loved it.
Worth of a ban just for this
TNA, that list is quite good and RE6 was definitely the worst. I would have ranked RE2 number 1 and RE4 a lot higher

Further to my earlier posts, Tormented Souls 2 is a must play for anyone that’s a fan of the classic games. The items / health give you enough to get through but you still need to be mindful of them.
The puzzles are 1000x better than the usually RE dross; medium/hard but not horrifically obtuse… unlike Silent Hill F it’s actually possible to figure it out
Lots of careful paying attention to detail required. If anyone needs a spoiler free clue then give me a ping!
I’m about 8 hours in and I presume about half way through. Looking forward to playing the rest of it.

I used to have RE2 as my number 1 for many years. But a few years ago on deeper reflection I thought RE1 remake might just edge it out. But only just.
RE4 is not that high as this is where RE games took a different turn that I never was happy with. It is a very good game, just not a proper RE game imo.

Remake was such a great game, still i feel it's the best remake of all time, one of my favourite ever games, and better than the recent 2 and 4 remakes, although they are very good, if they done a 2 remake in that style i would be all over it, but i don't think we will see it's like again

Such a great opportunity to expand on what was there. They just did the least they could to get the game out there i feel.
As usual these companies look at how to maximise profits rather than make a great game. But even with some small tweaks to help make replayablity better would have been welcome.
Installed all 3 original games I got from GOG and installed the RE:Enhance mods for all 3.
All tested and working properly. Going to start playing backwards from RE3 to RE1
Had a quick go on RE1 and boy does it seem plain compared to all the other games. Look forward to it. Oh and experienced Kenneth dying. In the OG one his head is severed, not the case in the Remake.

That sounds like a cracking thing for the Christmas break mate, enjoy.
I’m going to go against the grain a bit and say I’d really quite like to see a remake of 1 in the style of the 2 and 3 remakes. Could be fun to explore the mansion with the over the shoulder perspective.

I would not mind a remake of 1 like that, I mean, better than nothing. But honestly I feel like they need to step it up to the next level when they remake the remake.
Once they do that, they can then remake 2 and 3 again. I will keep buying (as long as £35 or less on cdkeys)
Truth is, if they got it right and it was as good as i want. I would be happy to pay a lot more.

Yep. Just go to links i already provided. If you don't have the games, get it from gog. Download them, you dont need the gog launcher. Download Japanese version (game is still English). Copy paste mod over. Launch from new exe provided by the mod. That is it.
