UK Gladiators - 2024 reboot

+1 on the above about the female contenders' results. ^^

The name "Vogue" was also one of the Gladiators in the original 1992+ run.

Was great to see Joe Wicks on the male team. He was a household name during pandemic.

Ah great didn't realise it was so soon. Nitro back will be excellent and three new events!
Yeah looking forward to seeing the episode we saw live to see how they edited it. The new X event I loved. (I forget what its called but it looks like a X from above). Our episode also featured something never seen before on Gladiators which was a first.
I wont spoil what it was for those who dont know but the clue is it involved Viper.

omg does he finally eat someone? :P

Great opener for the new series. No new Glads (yet) but did see 1 new event tonight - called Destruction. Nice effects/artwork on it and the presenters said it will be 1 of 3 new events for 2026.

Certain Glads got pwned in 2 of the events :D

Ladies' Eliminator was a nail biter, so close.

Edit: I think my favourite female Glad is still Athena but I also like Comet :-)

Liked Destruction, nailbiter of a female eliminator! Think the balance beam change is minor but a good change. Now if only they could stop Mark Prattenburg trying to be the main character and get some new hosts :(

Was this the episode you were talking about @varkanoid ?
Giant finally being beaten on Duel?

Yes that was the episode we saw. It did not come across as much on TV but the shock of what happened was actually greater than you saw I do not think the production team believed it at first. It was funny. :)
9 long hours reduced to less than an hour. It was a long day. Destruction took them 90 minutes to setup and 45 minutes to swap out the damaged walls. You also forget you do not see the whole event for instance there was bits cut out of powerball. I think the game was stopped for the men at least 5 times.

In Everest, I wasn't paying attention, but did the bridge tilt in favour of all 4 contenders? If it was random then that would be unfair. If it is always in favour of the contender first then it should be for a shorter amount of time like 10 seconds before it then tilts the opposite way.

For the men's, I liked both of them, probably Gorilla-Jason more as he's a wrestler but I was happy either way on the Eliminator. For the ladies, I wasn't keen on Gail as she came across as cocky.

I'm glad that Emily won. One of the most insane Eliminators I've seen :D

Edited for typo.
