UK Gladiators - 2024 reboot

If anything, the contestants are too good on this version. They seem to think we want to see people beating their course in record time, this isn't Ninja Warrior.

More average contestants please, or make the eliminator a lot harder.

Interesting change of rules in the men's Wall, and it worked out well for Legend :-)

The end credits confirms that Gladiators will return next year, although I didn't quite catch what else it said about something happening later on this year. Did anyone here catch that bit? It might be a roadshow or live event?

They are advertising a live event in four cities.

How did the mens winner set a new record when he had a 6 second lead. Surely the guy coming second who finished just behind was actually faster :D

Pleased the girl who didn't win a single round didn't win the final

Legends facebook posts as his fitness page have been all over my FB feed. He comes across as a really nice guy, some really funny clips with his son. Clearly either him or his mrs were already loaded because he gives a tour of his house and it's an amazing place for kids to grow up in!

Because the timer starts from the first whistle.

Totally agree with your spoiler comment.

The bloke had a very big social media presence before he was Legend.

Yeah I'd never heard to him. I was a bit surprised because I know previously Gladiators paid them almost nothing, £500 a show or something ridiculous but I now see he has a large fitness following.

Where as Dynamite, I'm convinced she's a producers daughter. She's small, not well built and pretty crap at most of the games.

Filming of new series starts today. We have e-tickets for tomorrow, have go que up early about 8am ish, then you get your proper tickets and then doors open around 12 noon. Anyone else going to this series filming ?

Went to the filming of episode 2 yesterday it was bloody fantastic. 10 hrs long but by eck loved it. Not going to give anything away as any Gladiators fan needs to watch this series when it comes on TV later this year it is epic. We saw Episode 2 being made and in one of the events was a first for the new series never seen before so far. History in the making so to speak. Also 3 new events which we saw one of and I loved it probably one of my favourites now. Audience interaction was superb and you never really felt like you were sat around waiting too long for something to happen. Started to flag about 7-8 hrs in but then a round of hot dogs and nacho's perked us up a bit. Probably one of the best filming days I've experienced. Although my son said it wasnt as good as Robot Wars but I thought it was better. :)

Can anyone of you please clear up a debate between me and one of my friends?

In some of the events, such as Unleash and The Ring, the floor lights up underneath to indicate various markers for that particular event. It's like a big computer screen in the floor. My friend said it's just a plain arena floor and the markers are CGI'd in afterwards in post-production.
