**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Currently got a pixel 9 pro xl 128gb, quickly running out of space.
Can get a OnePlus 15 16gb RAM 512gb storage for £650 once I recycle my pixel, will I regret it?

Last OnePlus I had was the 7 with the popup camera and really liked it but been using pixels since then. The camera complaints for the 15 are the only thing really making me question it, I assume oxygenOS is still decent?

I went from a Pixel 9 Pro to a OnePlus 13 and I have no regrets. Battery is much better and I think OxygenOS is excellent. If you want a good camera then I'd say the OP13 is a better option than the OP15.

That's where I'm currently at deciding between the 13 and 15 as I do need a half decent camera to catch a crazy two and half year old :D

I've ordered the 13 better battery and storage which were the two big ones for me and the camera seems to be on par with the pixel 9 other than slightly different post processing so we'll see what I think.
More importantly it was £300 cheaper than the 15 :D

Is anyone looking to buy the Xiaomi 17 Ultra? I've been pointed the one direction of some photo samples on Twitter, and they look very good, still undecided about my next phone.

I've ordered a poco f8 pro for £329 from Xiaomi's TikTok shop.

Upgrading from a Poco F3 that I got 3 and a half years ago for £183.99 (With a mouse thrown in cos Xiaomi)

The f3 has done me well and I'd have kept it longer but it fell out of my pocket onto the floor whist sat on the sofa the other day and there was a vertical ~1 pixel green line running up the screen. after restarting it it went away but every few days it comes back until I lock and unlock the phone. I'm taking it as a sign that the f3 has done its job and its time for a new phone lol.

Kinda strange as the drop was next to nothing. pretty sure I've done far worse to it before without consequence but whatever.

f8 pro looks pretty tasty at that price point to be fair. I was kinda tempted by the ultra but couldn't justify the extra £150 + you would probably have to say the 16/512 is better value than the 12/256 so its an extra £200...

Hoping to get it news years eve but think its more likely on the 2nd :(

anyway, looking forward to having a new toy, apologies for the ramble lol.

Anyone else got this bug on a OP15 (whilst using Nova). When using the app switcher, no windows/cards are shown and it's just the app's icon at the bottom. Makes switching and closing quite cumbersome, I've seen others report it on Reddit and there's a solution (force closing System Launcher) but it only last a few minutes before the problem appears again.

I posted this problem a couple weeks back. It happened quite frequently to begin with now it's not happening anymore. Very odd.

In other news the battery life is still amazing.

Been on iphone for years because it works with my apple watch. I'm thinking of giving android a go again as its been a long time. Was always a big fan of Poco back in the day. Whats the best one from China that looks just like iphone these days. Still the redmi?

Probably the Poco F8 Ultra, but it was £200 cheaper a couple of weeks ago, worth keeping an eye on.

Has anyone bought the Honor Magic8 Pro? My son has just got one, and the camera makes the one on my very capable Magic5 Pro look bang average...

Still contemplating my upgrade, but the Magic8 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are up there for now, depending on the release day deals for that one.

I haven't changed phones in 3 years. I would like a Pixel 10 but it's just too expensive for my tastes.

Currently have a Poco X5 Pro and considering a Xiaomi 15T Pro

Can't really find much to compete with it in this price bracket, any options? I need a physical dual SIM - non negotiable. Anything else is open for consideration.

That's expensive for a 15T Pro, they have deals around £500 regularly. I got the 512GB version at launch for £600 and that included a tablet that I sold for £200, and a cashback bonus for trading in my old phone which worked out around £100 more than it was worth.

I do not live in the UK, so I am unable to get these deals. The market, and pricing, of phones in the EU is different.

FWIW €636 is £542.

Anyone else getting the Honor Magic 8 Pro, nice freebie with the MagicPad 3 which looks a beast of a tablet for a freebie.

My son has got one, it's a great bit of kit, far better than my Magic 5 Pro.

He only got the Pad X9a with his, he ordered directly from Honor as he didn't want a contract, the X9a isn't bad at all, but I'd have taken the Magic pad off his hands, shame it isn't the same deal.
