Rugby union?

It was deserved - it was a professional foul. A break was on, and he intentionally tried to slow it down as England was undermanned at ruck. If the ball had come out quickly Scotland would have a had a try opportunity. Anywhere else on the field it would be just a penalty.
For me I think there was enough of a release. But hey, I'm not a ref, and I guess I've got some bias! I've seen players get away with doing the same plenty of times. With decisions like this - you win some, you lose some.

and yet Scotland were delaying release all afternoon and didnt get pinged for it - let alone a yellow.

We've been absolutely awful this 6 Nations, the amount of times we've executed poorly is incredible. Ford today with a couple of wayward kicks. We absolutely deserve to be losing.

Considering the winning streak we had coming into this series, then we've absolutely not shown up when it matters. Classic England really.

This is definitely the worst half hour of English rugby union that I've seen since the last one. I mean, they're flat out dire.

Yes, too many fumbles and spoilt chances near the try line again. Poor discipline too. GF missing schoolboy kicks to touch.. sad.

George Ford has been absolutely toilet, I've played with better 10s than what he's serving up today (although tbf, I have played alongside ex-internationals :P)

Not dealing with the intensity of the defence very well.....but everything is being made 10x harder by Ford losing us field position and throwing crap passes.

ITV commentary currently tossing themselves off gleefully as England peg it back to 14-29. I know they're paid to talk things up, but they might try to accept the plane of existence that we (allegedly) all inhabit...

I feel England NEED to lose this game in order to have nowhere to hide. This performance needs to be a watershed, it feels as though England just don't really care.

Not sure I can bring myself to watch al of it. I've gone past angry and am now just deeply disappointed, which is somehow worse.

This might be one of the worst England performances in recent memory, at home as well just total dross.

It gives complete sign off to actually go for a change in team. Its not like it needs a tweak here or there, the setup needs a clear out. I don't care about Itoje and Ford now, they have done what they can career wise but you need to get some fresh faces in there. There must be more club talent to pick from, unless there isnt?..

Frustratingly poor from England again. There were a few moments showing that when they string things together they could make decent ground and score, but there execution 90% of the time was appalling. The amount of times they lost possession in contact or gave away penalties at the ruck was infuriating.

The contestable kicking tactic that appeared to be working so well for the winning streak is entirely non existant right now. I'm not sure I've seen them win the ball on one of their own kicks in the past 2 weeks. Ford hasn't remotely looked in good form, but I'm not convinced Smith really set things alight today either - my main memory was him being easily caught by McCloskey looking like he was knackered after 30 minutes on the pitch? Hoping Finn Smith gets a start.

Definitely nervous for the Italy game.
